Prologue
I spotted a black haired, seven year old girl across the deck cowering in the corner, crying. I ran.
"Melody!" I hollered, pushing against the storm. She looked up, and seeing me, calmed down a bit. Slowing and steadily, she stood up and tried to reach to me but without success.
The wind gradually grew stronger, pushing with all my might I advanced towards her little by little, while she held tightly to the side of the deck.
"AHHH BROTHER!” she screamed as she was blown from deck. I ran up and quickly grabbed onto her hand.
I grabbed on tighter as felt her hand slowly slipping from my grasp, but it was no use. Her hand was soon ripped from mines as she fell. I screamed.
Not long after the storm stopped, and everyone came out from hiding. I squat there, where she was blown away, crying, when mother found me. I told her the what happened to Melody, and soon as we got back to the palace, she sent out a search party, but it was too late, Melody was lost. That was around the time when I built the wall around my heart.

As a couple walked along the shore, they spotted what looks like a child in the distance. Rushing to her side they found that she was still breathing, her dark hair clinging to her face. Her eyes flutter as she came to.
“Brother....” was all they heard before she fell back to unconsciousness.
