After Anne's pep talk, I went into perfection mode.
I took a shower, washed my face, dryed my hair, curled it, did my make up, but was stumped as I tried to pick out something to wear from my suitcase.
I have always been a very conservative and classy dresser, but with Emily constanlty wearing tight and short dresses, my frilly clothes just wouldn't 'wow' Harry. I sat on the bed in a funk. The outfit practically made the night. I could hear everyone else getting ready, I was running out of time.
"Hello!" I heard a familiar voice greet. It Gemma, walking in her room, shutting the door behind her. It seemed like she had gotten more beautiful with age, her hair was long and wavy now.
"Gemma!" I shrieked while jumping up and giving her a big hug.
"Ollie I have missed you so much!" She giggled. I released her and stepped back.
"I have missed you too, Gemma! I could've really used a friend the past week!" Her facial expressions turned from a wide smile to a empathentic smirk.
"Yeah, mum told me everything. I feel your pain." She sighed, "So, what do you have planned to make his eyeballs pop out?" She giggled.
"Well, I am kind of at a road block. I don't have anything that would make anybodies eyes pop out. All of my dresses are for high teas, not parties." With a grunt a fell back onto the bed again.
"I think I might be able to help..." Gemma chuckled as she went into her closet. She searched around and finally came out with a ivory lace dress. "I got it for a gift, and it isn't really my style. Its new, do you want it?" She held the dress out to me.
With a swift movement, I took it and bagen to undress. As soon as I had it on, Gemma helped to pull up the zipper. It fit like a glove. The dress went to around mid thigh and was long sleeved. The neck line came up to my collar bone, but the back was bare almost to my lower back.
"Its classy, and hot!" I smiled as I couldn't keep my eyes off myself in the mirror.
"You look really fit. If I were Harry, I wouldn't be able to see any other girl in the room."
The party was held at one of Anne's friends house. It seemed every person in Holmes Chapel was there, well at least everybody I knew. It was nice to catch up with my old friends from school, even if it was kind of embarassing that they knew Harry and Emily were together.
The two of them had left before me, so I had to prepare for my big entrance.
As soon as I walked through the front hall, I spotted Harry in the living room in a crowd of people dancing and socializing.
Just as I had hoped, Harry's eyes directly turned towards me.
