"Hey, Clark. I have to go to the bathroom..." I told him as soon as the song was over.
"You know, I do too." He said. "Come on." He grabbed my hand and weaved us through the dancing couples until we found a waiter.
"Excuse me sir," Clark said, tapping on his shoulder. "But where are the bathrooms?"
The waiter turned around then answered. "Back there. Right corner. Down the long hallway." He pointed in the direction.
"Thank you." Clark said. "Come on."
We made our way over to the beginning of the hallway. The walls had scone lights going down the sides. A few yards down, the hall turned to the left.
After we turned, the hallway turned again. But this time to the right. It continued down an abnormally long way.
"Well this is a weird hallway." I pointed out.
"Yes it is." Clark said, pulling me down.
My heels clacked and echoed all the way down the hallway, and his shoes did too. Just not as loud. I couldn't even hear the music or people talking anymore.
"See you when you get out." He said.
I pushed the door open to the ladies room and walked in.
The bathrooms were really fancy, like the rest of the place. The stalls were made of polished black stone and so was the floor. It was super quiet.
I did my business that started washing my hands.
Suddenly, the floor beneath me gave a tremendous heave, and knocked me over on the ground. The floor around me started cracking with the shakes and movements of the ground.
Then it hit me. It must be an earthquake. I grabbed the counter and used it to lift myself up. The mirror was cracked, but I could see that my eyes were widened in terror.
All of a sudden, the whole mirror fell off the wall and fell forward, hitting my in the forehead. I let out a painfilled scream, as I fell backward. The mirror fell upon me and knocked the air out of me. It was smashing me against the rocking floor, and I couldn't breath.
Luckily, the full force of the mirror wasn't on me. The other end of it had got caught on the back of the faucet, but the faucet head was slowly getting knocked off by the earthquake.
I wiggled out from underneath the mirror, just in time. The faucet head broke, spraying water all over the bathroom. The mirror smashed on the ground, spraying glass every direction, where I had been laying just moments before.
Behind me, I heard the cracking of the stalls. I turned around to see the stall doors had all been knocked off their hinges and were sliding slowly across the floor towards me.
This normally would have been easy to avoid, but frankly, I was in heals, there was glass everywhere, and the ground was shaking.
Luckily, only one of the doors was coming towards me.
When it reached me I slid my body on top of it, with difficulty. I thought I was out of the clear but my cursed dress got caught on the corner of it. I got dragged backwards with the door. The rock door slammed into the wall, and tethered my dress beneath it.
Then as suddenly as it started, it stopped. Out of nowhere it just... Up and stopped. I looked around me at the carnage... My hair was stringing around my face. I was soaked from the broken sinks and toilets spraying water all over the bathroom.
Clark, I thought. "Oh my god!" I screamed. I got up and ran to the door. Suddenly, I fell backwards onto the door. I forgot my dress was stuck under the door.
"Clark!" I screamed. "Clark!"
