A/N - this is a soulmate au and one of my first stories I wrote for this book (I wrote most of these down in a notebook before posting them on here so it was easier to correct mistakes). I know it is pretty crappy and cheesy. I apologize in advance. Read at your own risk because you might be permanently harmed by the cringe.

*Venus' POV*
You might think that growing up in a world where when you write on your skin, it appears on your soulmates skin too, would make it easier to find that person. You're wrong. I am currently 21 years old and I have been doodling on my arms for as long as I can remember. I still haven't met my soulmate.
*Jay's POV*
I was at work fixing some stranger's coffee when it started again. Doodles began to appear along my arm. My soulmate is an amazing artist. She loves to draw a lot. Today she seemed to be drawing some sort of vine with thorns. It looked Like maybe a rose. I handed the awaiting customer his coffee and took my break.
I sat in a booth at the back of the small cafe. As I sat there I watched the art appearing on my skin. It stopped after a bit. I admired the gorgeous rose that was on my arm.
unfortunately I had to go back to work too soon. I wish that I could meet my soulmate. Meet the amazing girl behind the artwork. I got back to work making different strangers coffee as I daydreamed about the girl of my destiny.
*Venus' POV*
I finished the rose vine I had been drawing on my arm and put away my sharpies. I was bored and wanted coffee so I decided to go to the new cafe down the street. I slipped my sweater and some shoes, grabbed my key, and headed to the cafe.
As I walked into the cafe the smell of coffee and tea hit me. I inhaled the scent happily. I love the smell of coffee and tea. I looked up at the menu as I waited at the counter for someone to take my order.
"Welcome!" A cheerful, male voice startled me causing me to jump a little. "I am so sorry miss! I didn't mean to scare you!" the man quickly apologized.
"Oh no worries. I'm find. I just didn't see you there," I explained. I looked back at the menu and picked what I wanted to order.
"Ready to order miss?" the man asked me.
"Yes I believe so. Can I please get a Caramel Mocha Extreme? My name is Venus by the way," I placed my order and waited off to the side. I watched the male barista fix my coffee and noticed a drawing identical to mine on his arm. Could he be...? Was this real? Was I actually watching my soulmate?
I slipped of my sweater exposing the drawing on my arm. The barista brought over my coffee and as I reached for my cup he looked at my arm. His breath hitched in surprise as he looked down on his own arm.
"Are you the person who drew this?" the barista asked, referring to the rose on his arm.
"Yeah... I am," I was so shocked. This barista who I just met is the guy that I am destined to be with for the rest of my life. Before I knew what was happening the barista leaned down and kissed me. I was too shocked by the action to respond. He soon pulled away noticing that I was not kissing back.
"Apologies if I overstepped my boundaries.... I just can't believe I am finally meeting you," he blushed as he quickly apologized.
"No. No. It's okay. I just didn't expect it," we heard several aww's and several annoyed grunts from the line of people behind us.
"I guess I should get back to work..." the barista sighed as if he hated his job. I can't blame him though. I would hate this job too. "Here, take my number and call me later." He handed me a napkin with his phone number on it. "Oh yeah, I'm Jay by the way. It was nice to finally meet you Venus."
