A Day Alone

chapter 5

"Where am I?" i asked getting scared-er and scared-er.

"You are in the kid spy zone. Your friends are waiting for you in the meeting room."

"Any questions yet?"

"Yes, of course! Who are you? Why am i here? How did my friends get here? Is there food?.."

"I am Nathan, and you are here because of my promise. I already told you it. My buds got your friends here safely. Yes there is food," he answered laughing, and once he caught his breath, he continued saying," Come with me and you will be with your friends and we will explain everything."

Of course i went with him, what else would i do. Stand there like an idiot? No, i am no idiot, so i went.

"Emily, your okay! They didn't hurt you did they?" screamed Lily as i walked in what seemed to be the meeting room.

"Ya, couze if they did. I think i need to kick some butty."

"Guys, i am fine. They only threatened me. I am ok."

"They what!" screamed Lily in fear.

"I am fine. Really, i am. Nathan please start explaining."

"Ok, everybody is going to want to sit down now. Also please try to leave the introruptions to a minimum."

"Okay i answer. 

"All of you are in very grave danger right now. As i have learned, your friends have been kidnapped. The people you are dealing with are very dangerous and experienced in what they are trying to do. All of your parents have been spies at one point in there life. It is very dangerous for that many retired spies to live near each other. Emily, they know more about all of you than what  you all think. They know you will do anything for your friends. Lilly, you are athletic and are very distracting.  Robin, they know you are very smart. Molly, they know you are an amazing actress. Leo, they know that you are very funny and strong. They need kitds like you, that are friends, that have your abilities. Are you following me so far?"

"Yes," i answer righgt away.

"Emily. At school on the playground.When, the man attacked you. They will hurt you. They might have even have killed you. They aren’t joking around….”

“Well, neither am I.”

“Emily, you took down their best people. You have extreme talent to become a spy. You just need a little more training and you will be ready. You guys can all become spies, even Alex and Amy-Lee.”

“Excuse me; do you know where I can find, Emily Jenson?” asked a handsome high schooler.

“Yes, why?” asked Nathan in a worried tone.

“Rueben, you go to school with my brother.”

“Emily, are you the Emily I am looking for?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Well, this is going to be a lot more enjoyable.”

Sorry to interrupt, but do you two know each other?” asked Nathan.

“Yes, Rueben goes to school with Zach.”

“That makes more sense. Emily, Rueben is your trainer. Is that ok, or would you like a different trainer?”

“No, Rueben will be fine.” I said a little too quickly, but Rueben seemed pleased that I said it was fine.  I mean, I don’t like him, he is just like an older brother to me.”

He makes sure that I am ok and if somebody tries to do something to me, he will be there.

“Great, do you want to get started right away?” asked Nathan eyeing us now worried because of how I answered.

“The sooner the better.” I say beaming with pride.
