*Cassandra's Point of View*

I eventually found my way to the gym where Steve was. He was punching a bag.

"So what is the precise point of us meeting here or you just wanting to show off how muscular you are," I asked from the entrance. He span on his heel and looked at me. He chuckled slightly and started to unwrap his hands.

"No just wanted to talk," he answered casually.

"Really your world is on the brink of a war with another and you just want to talk," I asked a smile playing on my face. He chuckled.

"I'm never one to start the battles," he answered with a smile, "so why not talk?"

"I may not know many customs of this world but I do know its history and the role you've played in it," I chuckled. He looked down smiling and blushing. I walked over a moved a stray peice of hair away from his face.

"Anyway, what is this long story you wanted to tell me," I inquired.

"Well since you already know it whats the point," he said in a teasing tone.

"Fine if that's all," I teased back, " I just wanted to get to know the real Steven Rogers but I guess he's a book I'll never read," I turned to leave.

"NO," he shouted grabbing my arm. I felt what felt like an electric shock course through my body. My stomach erupted with tingles at his touch. I have never had anyone have this effect on me. "No, I was only joking Cassandra."

"So was I Steven," I smiled, he smiled back.

"You know you're the only person who has ever called me Steven more than once," he commented.

"Oh so does that make me special," I asked smiling slyly. His laugh echoed through the room.

"Yeah I guess it does," he answered with a smile.

"So what about this long story," I changed the subject.

"Oh yeah," he said with a slight chuckle and scratched the back of his neck nervously. I had to admit it made my stomach erupt in tingles again.

"Steven stop stalling," I playfully scorned him.

"Sorry it's just you're the first person who actually wants to know about my life. I'm not just a file to you," he said becoming shy. I sat down and patted the spot next to me, he sat down. He told me his story from since when he could remember to where we were now. He told me about Red Skull, the war, Bucky, Peggy, Dr. Erskine, and Tony's father Howard. I can bravely tell you I laughed, cried, and at time I sat there silently. I saw they way his eyes lit up when he talked of certain people like Bucky or Erskine, but his eyes lit up the most when he talked of Peggy. He decribed every inch of her. He then pulled out a pocket watch and showed me a picture of her. She was beautiful, no wonder he was in love with her.

He looked at that picture for ages, his eyes swimming with memories good and bad. His lips were pressed into a firm line. I saw the regret, pain and anger he felt, but I also saw the happiness talking about his past brought. I was looking down at my lap lost in my own thoughts when he spoke.

"I still owe her a dance. I wish I could give it to her...to be there," he said his voice breaking. Knowing of nothing better to do I pulled him into a hug rubbing his back slightly. He hugged back tightly as if I was his lifeline.

"Steven, I can't say pain goes away, because it never does. But, the pain you feel it does make you the person who you are as does the place you come from no matter what time period," I said both of us still in each others arms. He pulled away and looked me in the eyes. His intoxicating sapphire seas staring into my emerald forrests.

I stood up and held out my hand for him. He grabbed it and hurled himself up.

"Come on," I said heading towards the door.

"Where are we going," he asked.

"What's life without a little adventure?"
