Give Me a Chance

Paintings, drawings, music, and me

there's nowhere else I'd rather be

A stroke of a pen, a note of a song

To me nothing can go wrong

Tick-tock, ding-dong

A clock goes as time passes along

Me alone in the world

No one cares

No one dares

I give, give, give

But I don't receive

I'm the one who everyone tries to deceive

When you look at me, you might see

A small girl weak and frail

With a tan that makes me look not so pale

Surely, if you don't take the time

You would think I'm not worth a dime

But hopefully I plea

You take the time to see

The true me

If you don't, it doesn't matter

I'm stronger than that, I'm better

I'm not a measly dime

I'm tough as a nail

Give me a chance, I won't fall hard and fail
