They start off tiny and small
And sometimes they look like a ball
You watch them grow and play
And you wonder when it's gonna be the day
They're not even related to you
But you have to protect them no matter what you do
You can't wait to see them grow big and tall
And watch them go off into it all
But for now you sit and watch
As they're lives start to go up a notch
Hopefully they remember you
As they go on and do what they do
