Ron and Hermione: Swish and Flick

Ron and Hermione are on a date in Hogsmeade. It is Hermione's 7th year. Ron took the day off from his training as an auror.

Ron's P.O.V.

"One booth please. My girlfriend is joining me lat-" I'm cut off by Hermione jumping on my back. "Mione! I thought you had a test to retake before you came." I say.

"Well, I was supposed to but Professor Slughorn had to reschedule. Which means I have no where to be and can spend the whole day with you!" Hermione tells me, her beautiful smile lighting up the room.

"Perfect. You know I love you right Mione?" I say, staring at her with adoration.

"You only tell me everyday. And I love you too Ronald. Now I'm hungry. How about lunch?" Hermione says.

"Hmm. What? Yeah, lunch sounds great." I say, distracted by Hermione's big brown eyes.

"Ron." Hermione snaps her fingers. "Ronald! Lunch?" Hermione says, getting slightly annoyed with my attention span.

"Oh sorry, you're just so beautiful. Lunch sounds lovely. I'm starving." I say. "A table for two please." I tell the server, then I recognize her. "Hey Hannah. How are things with you and Neville?" I ask her.

"Oh things are great. And if I'm correct, you and Hermione are doing good." Hannah laughs.

"You are correct." I say, laughing too. Hermione grabs my hand. I kiss her cheek.

After we order lunch Hermione glares at me. "What Mione? What did I do?" I ask, concern written on my face.

"You and Hannah! That's what happened!" Hermione says, looking like she's about to cry.

"Mione, I love you and only you. We both know I have the emotional range of a teaspoon and my teaspoon belongs to you." I say, trying not to laugh.

"Really Ron? That was two years ago but in my defense it is true. And thank you." Hermione smiles, making me fall in love with her all over again.

"Yes Mione. Did I tell you I love you?" I say, staring into her beautiful eyes.

"That's only the fourth time today. I love you too Ronald." She says, playing with her hair.

"Here." I say, handing Hermione a small box. Hermione looks at it tentatively. "It's not going to bite, open it." And she does. It's a gold heart locket. Inside is picture of us on the couch, tangled together, sleeping. The other is from after she got to platform 9 3/4 for Christmas break. It shows us running into each other's arms. On the back I engraved, "Swish and Flick".

"Oh Ronald, it's beautiful! I love it! Thank you! I love you!" Hermione cries, I give her a hug.

"I love you too Mione. And I'm glad you like it." I whisper in her ear as I put the necklace on her.
