Anah reached the hotel and looked around gaping at the seven-star hotel. For two days, she will be staying here. Anah is excited to experience the feel of being in a mansion. She saw Ejaz at the reception and hurried to him. He looked at her and then walked away. Anah frowned.
Room: 401, Anah glanced at her key card and then kept glancing at the door as she passed by each. Finally, she found her room. She sighed happily.
Once she got into her room, she looked around. The room was two times bigger than her room back in Mumbai. Anah took out her phone from her back pocket and clicked a pic and sent it to Reyhan. She then called him.
They spoke for ten-fifteen minutes before Anah cut the call. She then slumped on the round bed, the mattress so soft that she sunk into it. She gasped startled. She began jumping on the spot and giggling.
After some time she removed her closed flats and stood up. She tied her hair and entered the bathroom. The bathroom was posh and luxurious. Anah felt very tempted to use the round bathtub but she resisted. She washed her face and quickly stripped to her inners and left the bathroom.
She flopped on the bed covered herself with the duvet till her head and soon drifted off to sleep.

Later in the evening, Anah woke up and looked around dazed. She took a minute to realize she is in Goa and not in the pigeon house she calls home back in Mumbai. Anah smiled brightly leaping from the bed. She dragged her luggage and placed it on the bed. She quickly unzipped the bag and finished out a dress for now.
She took bath; most of the time she played with the bubbles. Anah also clicked few pictures of herself in the bubble bath and send one to Ipshita. She smirked reading her friend's fuming jealous remark.
Anah blow dried her hair and wore noodle strapped lavender maxi dress and covered it with white Kaftan shrug. She combed her hair, dabbed lip balm on her lips and slipped into white thong slippers.
Anah is more annoyed than worried because of Ejaz's behavior. She tried calling and texting but no response and so she gave up.
'Go to hell for all I care.' She said angrily.
Anah decided to kick the thought of Ejaz and enjoy Goa. From tomorrow, it will be work.
She stepped into the elevator and pressed for root top café. The weather is superb and she is ready to enjoy herself.

Happily, Anah stepped into the café. The café is filled with happy, carefree people chatting amongst themselves. The waiter serving starters and drinks. Anah took a cocktail and walked towards the Parapet. It is evening and already dark. She looked up at the starry sky and smiled. She looked ahead taking in the beauty of Goa while sipping her drink. At one point, she turned and her eyes widened on seeing Ejaz just enter the café.
Even though she was annoyed at him she found him very attractive dressed in red short sleeve shirt and black Bermuda shorts. He looked up and Anah quickly turned around. If he is avoiding her, she will avoid him too.
Ejaz frowned, for a split second he thought he saw Anah. But then it is possible she could be here. Ejaz stared at the back of the woman in a white shrug and lavender maxi dress and wondered if he is mistaken. He decided to check out. Grabbing a drink, he casually strolled towards the woman. Anah felt someone stand beside him and turned her head. He turned his head too. Anah and Ejaz found themselves stare into each other eyes.
They stared at each other before remembering they are supposed to be angry at each other and looked away. They felt awkward and pretended to not know each other. Just then Anah's phone rang. Ejaz glanced at her phone from the corner of his eyes and felt annoyed seeing Mouse name flashing on the screen. Anah silently excused herself and walked away picking up the call. Ejaz clenched his glass staring at her retracting back.

Anah had spent rest of the time roaming and discovering the hotel and around 9 pm she decided to have dinner. All this while she didn't bother calling or texting Ejaz.
She entered the restaurant of the hotel, she looked around the posh restaurant, even this place is jam packed.
Anah walked straight to the buffet and handed her ticket to the counter. She grabbed a warm plate and searched for the meal for the night.
She stuffed her plate with rice, fried fish and something swimming in gravy. She turned around. As she searched for the table she spotted Ejaz. She frowned feeling annoyed. He is eating something with fork and knife. Anah squinted her eyes and could make out the meal on his plate looked like a lobster.
This reminded Anah of getting a spoon.
Ejaz finished with his food and as he called for the waiter his gaze caught Anah walking past him.
'Ms. Malik.' He reflexively called. Anah stopped hearing his voice and smiled.
Finally! She turned around quickly adjusting her expressions. Ejaz knew now there is nothing he can do and so he gestured her the empty in front of him.
Anah wanted to refuse but then that will mean looking for another seat and honestly, she is very hungry so she agreed and took her seat opposite him across the table. She looked at his used plate, so she was right it was a lobster.
The waiter came and Ejaz called for the bill. The waiter placed a bowl of water and lemon and walked away.
'So, be ready tomorrow by 8. We have to go see the site.' He informed washing his right hand. Anah wondered why was he washing his hands, he had been using fork and knife.
'Okay?' he asked when Anah didn't reply.
She looked away from the bowl and nodded. Ejaz is slightly disappointed because he wanted her to say something.
Just then the waiter reappeared. Anah watched Ejaz pass his credit card and the waiter left to get the machine. Anah then stared at her food that she got from the buffet and felt very poor.
'The site is far so we will take time. I spoke to Mr. Kalish Jha, the client and I will email you the details.' Ejaz said.
He paid and was about to stand up when Anah placed her palm over his. He froze.
'Sir, may I ask you something?' she looked at him apprehensively.
Ejaz gave a small nod and she shifted little, 'Have I done something wrong to upset you? Why have you been ignoring me since coming to Goa.' She asked softly
Looking at her sad innocent eyes Ejaz felt guilty. He was angry with her because of his own insecurity and nothing was her fault.
He shook his head. Anah felt relieved as he smiled at her. He placed his other palm over hers and Anah stared into his eyes, her gaze unmoved.
'Can we talk about it once you are done with dinner?' he asked and Anah nodded. Ejaz patted her palm and stood up, 'I am in the backyard by the pool side.' He said. Anah smiled as he turned around and walked away.
