Chapter 1 -The letter-

Perfectly laid cups, sunsets, colour ordered things, anything that fits, and songs that just lift your heart, all things that make me happy.
Today I was going to apply to college I wanted to go to art school,
~eastern riverside art school~ it was an artists dream, but mostly it was my dream.

Vela was coming round later I needed her to help me with my application letter.
My clothes were spread across the floor my music blaring out.
I started to pick up my clothes and start to fold them into my draws.
Soon after I had finished I heard a familiar sound,
vela.
She was here I'm pretty sure anyone in the world could hear her she was abnormally loud for such a small person.

Vela had beautiful strawberry blonde hair with a small bow on the side, blue eyes and of course she was carrying her one and only writing kit.
She insisted she brought it every time she came round.

~Vela's POV~

Ok, my writing kit was a bit extensive but it had everything I ever needed and that included food!
Such as Oreo's of course cause Oreos are amazing!
Ok now with helping Nova.
After about an hour of attempting to help my best friend, we manage to write a decent amount I spelt checked everything it was perfect in my eyes anyway.
I made her apply as soon as I was done now the waiting game began.
We watched a film in her basement ate Oreos and ice cream.
It was amazing being with someone who was this amazing Nova was that amazing person she was so kind and made everyone happy I was just glad she was my best friend.
After the film had finished I left.
cycled home, it was a warm night I could smell barbecue all round and a sweet smell of lavender.
It was perfect.

-Hey vela, I just wanted to let you know that your work paid off I got a response they put me on the waiting list I'm in the top 10 yasssss xxx

I read that text with complete joy that if a smile could speak I'd be screaming.

End of vela's POV

Vela, VELAAAA I practically screamed, I was so happy to see her she seemed just as happy to see me.
I had 15 minutes to tell her everything, we could have spoken for hours but we didn't.
Ok first class is science, but it's biology class and I hate biology.
I'll manage I hope I will anyway.

I pause my heart literally stops I see Rylan Dawson, he's probably the cutest boy in the school but yet he's not popular, it doesn't make sense to me at all.
I mean I'm practically surrounded 24/7 so I couldn't do anything without it going round the school.
I waited to talk to him after school.
But that could wait.
Biology homework is so hard now like I'm going die, ok that over exaggerating but you know what I mean.

Strange things kept on happening through my town, it wasn't unusual for someone to go missing but a whole family every month is a little strange, police just say oh they got lost in a camping trip, but they know they didn't just get lost, something took them something big.

You've seen my good side of life but you've not even taken one step into my dark side of life.
This is where shadows lurk, people disappear, people don't tell you everything because if they do it will unleash your dark side.
Then everything just falls apart.
That's what I think anyway.

Xahria was standing in the corner smiling like he usually does he's such a nice person but I think he's just too shy to talk to me or vela for that matter she has the biggest crush on him he's like her life I swear she doesn't allow me in her basement cause it's full of posters of him, not just cause her dad doesn't allow anyone down there.

School had finished, I saw Rylan he was putting his bag in his locker and his short curly hair was so perfect it was annoying.
He turned around and looked stunning as usual.
I just stared blankly at him in awe.

"Um do you want something, " he said politely

"Um well, I just wanted to say hi and well... how are you?" I said so embarrassed

"Well I'm fine, Nova is it," he said with a sweet smile

"Nova were you going to talk to me or should I go"

"Yes, yes I am going to talk to you, I just don't know what about "

"Actually I need to catch a bus maybe I can get your number to keep In contact."

Oh my god was this actually happening did Rylan Dawson actually just ask me for my number!
I gave him my number and added it to his phone

"There you go now you have no excuse not to speak to me!" He said with that menacing smirk.

I just blushed and nodded, I decided not to tell vela just yet I wasn't ready for her noise

so that was a hectic day I just hope my weekend isn't ruined with the noise of the one and only Vela Triste!
