Jessica Anne Latham
Friday December 30th, 2015As Jessica's grip on the dagger tightened, it wasn't in anything else but the absolute fear she held as she stood there looking at the intruder that was here, which appeared to be a person dressed in a black hoodie, black jeans with holes in the knees, black converse, and a clown mask on as they were looking through her things in the kitchen.
She stood there afraid of what they wanted and what exactly they were looking for, but she did know that if she just stood there, something bad may happen, so she held the dagger up and put on a tough face despite her fear, "Hey! What are you doing here?!" She yelled demanding an answer.
After she yelled that, the person stopped going through the drawer she kept the extra stuff and slowly looked over at her and stood straight. She got a little more afraid as he slowly stood straight, seeing that this person towered over her by a great amount, but her tough exterior didn't falter.
She looked up at the person still pointing the dagger at them, "Answer me!" She yelled. As she stood there, the person slowly started to walk towards her and her fear grew as she would take a step back every time they grew closer.
She was soon back in the living room and the person followed her still slowly walking towards her, step by step, and she still walked back from them. She was now shaking and it was quite visible as the dagger in her hands shook and she was angry at herself seeing as she couldn't stop her visible sign of fear.
She soon yelped a bit as her back hit a wall and she glanced behind her then back in front of her seeing the person getting closer. She held the dagger higher pointing at their chest, "D-Don't come any closer!" She mentally cursed at her stutter.
The person soon stopped walking as they were right in front of her and the dagger tapped their chest. Jessica stood there, terrified feeling cornered and as the person stood in front of her, they grabbed the blade of the dagger and yanked it right out of her hands and threw it far behind them.
She looked up at them completely terrified now, seeing as she was now unarmed and was cornered with her back against the wall. She felt herself about to have a panic attack until she noticed the couch right next to them and saw her phone sitting right on the arm.
As she was looking up at the person, she was thinking of what to do then decided. She kicked the person's right knee as they stood there and she watched as they grunted and fell. When they had fallen, she ran over to the couch and grabbed her phone running to the stairs and going upstairs.
She soon hid in a closet in her room after locking her bedroom door and putting her umbrella on the handles of the closet on the inside. She sat in the corner and shakily but quickly opened her phone and dialed a number, putting it to her ear and waiting for them to pick up as she whispered, "Come on, come on, pick up."
She soon heard slow, but heavy footsteps coming from downstairs and was shaking more, knowing from the grunt from earlier and the footsteps just now that this intruder was a male, and a rather heavy built and tall male.
Soon the phone was answered and she heard them say, "Hey Jess, you that anxious for me to get there?" She was happy to here Jackson's voice and she was breathing a bit heavy as she whispered, "Jackson listen, there's someone in my house and their downstairs."
She could already tell Jackson was extremely worried as he spoke, "What?! Where are you now? Are you hurt?" She heard the footsteps at the bottom of the stairs as he was talking and heard a scraping on the wall, meaning he had either a kitchen knife, or her dagger.
She soon answered whispering still, "I'm in my bedroom closet with both the bedroom door and the closet door locked and no I'm not hurt, yet. Jackson, he's coming up the stairs." Jackson soon replied, "Don't move, I'm about fifteen minutes from your house now, just hang on."
