"Wakey wakey." I felt someone shaking me. I woke up and looked around. I was inside a basement. I turned and was greeted by Demarco.

"What happened?" I asked my head hurting.

"Oh you had some alcohol last night." He told me. I looked down and noticed the change of clothes.

"Yeah I should head up to Destyni room." I said and just fast paced up the stairs and up the other stairs. I walked into Destyni room. She was still asleep. She stirred in her sleep.

"Dontarious stop." She smiled in her sleep. Oh my god my best friend likes Dontarious.

"Oh Destyni." I sang softly in her ear. She stirred more. "Destyni!" I yelled and she jumped up.

"What? What? Fire!" She yelled swatting the air with her hands. I laughed at her. She looked at me and glared at me.

"Sorry." I told her. She shook her head and laughed. "Well I have to brush my teeth." I told her. She nodded and handed me my bag. I grabbed my tooth brush and my wash cloth for my face. I walked to bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I walked out and back to her room. I walked to my bag of clothes. I grabbed my jeans, crop top, and my sneakers. I got changed and put my other clothes in my bag.

"Aye you wanna go to the movies tonight?" Destyni asked me.

"Yeah sure." I told her.

We walked down the stairs. Demarco was sitting at the kitchen table eating an apple. I still can't over the fact that this man is so fine. Like how are you that fine.

"Aye Dejah." Destyni snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I asked her.

"Briona said she has to babysit so can we go see a kid movie?" She asked me.

"Shit I don't care." I told her. She nodded and text Briona back.

"Y'all going to see a movie?" Demarco asked.

"Yeah we gotta find a kid movie though." I told him. He nodded and ate the rest of the apple. I grabbed an apple and started eating it.

"Aye Destyni you wanna ride with me to check on my mom?" I asked her. She nodded and I grabbed my keys from the kitchen counter. We walked out of the house and walked to my car. Oh it feels so good saying that. We got in the car and I started it. She bluetoothed my phone to the car. She went to my music and started playing Bodak Yellow by Cardi B. We started rapping along to the song.

We pulled up to my house. We got out of the car and locked the doors. We walked up to my door and I unlocked it. We walked inside. I saw my mom on the couch and the twins on the two chairs.

"Hey Dejah, how was your night?" My mom asked  me.

"It was fine. I had a great time with the girls." I told her. I can't tell my mom the full story about where I was last night.

"That's great. I'm glad you got out of the house." She told me. I nodded my head. "What are you doing tonight?" She asked.

"Movies." I told her. She smiled at me. I smiled back at her.

"Well have fun." She told me. I nodded and we walked out of of the house.

We walked back to the car. We got in and I pulled off from my house. I drove to McDonalds. We ordered us two medium Carmel Frappe. Destyni paid for the things. We drove back to her house.

We got out of the car and walked up to the door. She unlocked the door. We walked inside. Demarco had his two friends with him and Terell.

"Aye sis who Briona talk to?" Terell asked me.

"Nobody. I mean people trying to talk to her but she keep putting them off." I told him.

"But I mean that one boy she considering." Destyni said. I nodded my head.

"Yeah but she don't know yet." I said.

"What about you?" Dorion asked me.

"I don't have a boyfriend." I told him.

"Do you talk to someone?" He asked me.

"I don't know. I mean, never mind come on Destyni." I told her. She nodded and we walked up to her room.

"Girl they was trying to see if you was going to say Demarco." She laughed.

"Shut up. I don't really know if we talk or what." I told her.

"Do you like my brother?" She asked me.

"Yes I do." I said smiling. 

"And I think he likes you too. So y'all need to stop playing." She told me. I laughed and just walked to her desk. I sat in the chair. I took some pictures cause my braids looked cute. "You stay taking pictures." She said. I laughed.

My phone started to ring. I looked at the call. Vince... I ignored the call.

"Who was that?" Destyni asked me.

"Vince." I told her rolling my eyes.

"Why he calling you?" She asked me.

"I don't know. I didn't answer the phone." I told her laughing. She laughed nodding her head. There was a knock on the door. She walked and opened it. I forgot we even closed it.

"What's up." Briona and Icelynn walked in with Briona had her niece and nephew Faith and Cameron. They are so cute and sweet.

"Hi." Faith smiled up at me. I smiled and picked her up. I sat her on my lap. She is adorable.

"Aight the movie starts at 6." Destyni told us. We nodded. We got up and put the kids coats back on. I picked up Faith and Destyni had Cameron. We walked out of the room. Faith sucked on her Pacifier. She is so cute. I love her so much.
We walked down the stairs. The boys were sitting on the couch counting money. I am telling you, Demarco a good hustler. They looked up and saw us. Briona was taking pictures of course and Terell was looking at her. Demarco was looking at Faith and I.

"Boyfriend? Desha?" Cameron pointed at Demarco. Destyni and the girls giggled. I glared at them.

"Yeah let's go." I said and walked out of the house with Faith. The girls followed behind me. Briona and Icelynn got in the back with the kids on their laps. I got in and started the car. I pulled off from the house.

I got to the theater. We got out and I held onto Faith hand. We walked through the doors. We stood in the line. We got up to the cash register. We paid for the tickets and we got our drinks. We walked to the theater that we are watching the movie in. We sat in our seats. Faith was by me. The movie started and all the lights were turned off.

After the movie was over we walked out of the theater. We got in the car. I pulled out of the parking lot. My phone started to ring and Destyni answered it.

"Dejah get to the hospital! Mom was shot." Terell told me.

"What happened?" I asked him scared.

"I'll explain to you when you get here." He told me.
