Chapter 13: I Saw Her

Flashing bright lights, buttons pressing, loud sounds from each machine, people cheering, this place was my only freedom right now. My dad, he never invites me, he never cared for me, he only invites me when he needs my help or if my did something wrong.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH what is my life?

''Alright here I go!'' I said to myself

I clenched my fist, stepped back, and got ready to punch this 'thing' hanging down from the machine.

*PUNCHHH* (what is a punching sound effect?)

''Ouch! that hurts'' I said holding my fist

''Hmm that was easy'' I said pleased with myself

I walked to a different machine and sat on the chair, while the game was loading, I decide to go on my phone.

Whaaaa? I've been playing for that long?

The game wasn't loading for some weird reason.

''Hh fuck this game'' I said as I stood and kicked the machine lazily

Quickly, I got onto my bike, placed my helmet on my head and headed home.

*Rumble, rumble*

Ahh I'm hungry, oh right I played so much that I forgot to have lunch, but there's not much food places here. . .

Scanning around the area, I find a convenience store, I parked my bike outside and entered the store picking myself a curry flavoured onigiri. While I went outside, rain was pouring heavily, so I stayed in.

In the distance, I could see a girl running. Wait, what are those behind her?

I squinted to make my vision more precise.

Two men, hiding behind a wall one with a baseball bat, aren't those . . .

I looked back at the girl. Isn't that?

''crazy psycho. . .'' I whispered, running out of the store

I put my hood on to help me to prevent from getting wet

She ran slower and slower, while the bastards came closer to her, seeing her run slower, I ran faster

She stopped, panting. The bat rose from their hands ready to hit.

At that moment, I jumped in and hugged her tightly , so that she doesn't get hurt.

''Ugh'' I shrieked in pain as tears welled up in my eyes

Without caution, I turned around and striked my fist into their face, of course it was painful, but pain wasn't holding me back, my mind kept saying save that girl! As I punched them, my hood came off.

''Mr, Lee. . .'' one of them said, shocked

My eyes widened as he said that. It is them. I fixed my hood.

Quickly, I pulled her back to her feet while grabbing her wrist sprinted to hide, dragging her along.

Why are they trying to hurt her? What did she do? Does she even know them? Maybe it's . . . Damn her she's going WAY too far!!

Flickering street lights went off one by one, buying us more time to hide. I find a wall. We ran behind the wall as puddles splash beneath our feet. The light above us went off. It was all dark. I towered in front of her and rested my arm on the wall above her head, trying to help her from get wet.

''Shhh'' I placed my index on her lips

I peeked through, checking for safety, but luckily they went straight past us.

I sighed in relief, well that was close, I turned back and looked down at her. God she was so close, she looked so hot in her wet uniform.

Wait, I don't want her to find out that I saved her, she might think. .

I cleared my throat ''Yah, tell me where your house is, I'll take you there'' I asked with a deep voice, trying not to sound like myself

''Who are you?'' she said trying to peek through my hood ''Do I know you?''

''Yes you do'' I responded quickly ''now tell me where your house is''

She tried to take my hood off but I managed to grab her wrist and flick it off

''Yah, what are you doing I'll get wet'' I said angrily, forgetting to control my voice

Oh shit.

''Tell me who you are'' she said confidently, coming closer to me

My mouth slightly opened, her voice, s-she sounded hot. . .

Coming back to reality, I cleared my throat again

''Just tell me where you live!!'' I shouted

''O-Oh I live here~'' she said pointing at the other side of the street

''Ok! Go!'' I said, while leaning against the wall which stung my shoulder from the hit ''Ow''

A-Are you ok?'' she said worridly

''Just GO!'' I shouted while rubbing my shoulder gently

She ran to the other side, while I followed my gaze at her making sure she was safe. She turned back looking at me, worried, and turned away walking after I made a hand movement saying 'leave'

''Well that was close'' I sighed in relief

I wonder why I saved her, why I got hurt for her, I never cared for anyone. . . since. . .
