- Corinna's POV -
I rested my back against the wall, exhaling loudly. It was hard to get the space I wanted, or rather needed from him.
Every time we crossed paths I Just wanted to run back into his arms and apologise over and over. But I couldn't.
"C!' I looked up and saw him. He was the only person who had ever shortened my name to just C, but I liked it.
"Hey Toddy." I laughed as he pulled me into a hug. Over the past week we had gotten close and I felt like I could trust him with anything.
He was like Kat, but in boy form. "Free for a coffee later?" His arm draped around me loosely, as he smiled down at me.
"Yea of course." I looked up and nodded, putting my phone back in my pocket.
---
I tapped my nail on the side of the cup, the smell of coffee beans floating through the air. "How is everything? Especially with you know who."
I sighed and looked up frowning. "I don't know. I haven't spoken to him in what feels like ages. Do you think I'm over reacting?"
"No. I just think you need some time apart is all. Maybe see other people for a bit."
An image of him and Bella flashed through my mind. It scared me that distancing from him could make them get together.
"Maybe."
It wasn't the worse idea I've ever heard. I think it would help clear my mind but the guilt would get to me and loosing him has never been an option.
"Well, There's a party happening tomorrow night. Care to join me?" His goofy smile lightened my mood. "I swear you guys always have parties."
"Is that a yes then?" His eyes glimmered in the faint light above us. "Yes, I'll go." I sighed. After the last one I didn't have an excited feeling. The thought of something happening again and that he didn't save me sent shivers down my spine.
I wasn't going to tell Toddy about it. He didn't need to worry about me and just needed to have fun.
"Take care of yourself C." He kissed the side of my cheek sweetly before rushing off quickly. I was never mad when he left in a rush, I knew he had places to be and people to take care of.
---
I stepped into his apartment and smiled. He said he would take me and that I should stop by before hand.
The room was not massive but a reasonable size. "Can I get you anything?" He placed his hand on my lower back, leading me through.
"No I'm right thank you." I sat down at one of his stools and chatted with him. He was fun to be around and had a calming personality.
He paused for a quick second, his eyes looking down at my lips before connecting with mine again. Butterflies rushed through my stomach quickly as I gulped down.
He moved closer to me, his vision moving from my lips to my eyes every couple of seconds. I flinched as his hand pressed against my cheek, making me stand up instantly.
As he moved closer, I shut my eyes quickly feeling our lips attach. His was soft and gentle, moving his lips slowly.
He pulled away, a shocked expression on his face. He shrugged it off pressing his lips against mine again slightly rougher.
His hand roamed through my hair carefully, lifting me up with his spare hand. I tugged on his hair slightly, feeling excitement rush through me.
He closed the bedroom door behind him and pressed me against his bed, gliding his hand down my waist.
