If ever I'm gone
Whenever I'm here
The sun still rises
The wind still fierce
Blows me away
Blew me here
Where sun won't shine
Where darkness nears
Where shadows chase
Right back to me
Stretching out for all to see
To hide away, to cover all
Children past and present tall
In the sands of time, the chase of life
For all people who have lost their fight
A future ensured that all is bright
The song of love to all those lost
A world of hope, without cost
The sun will shine right back to me
Darkness, shadows, all will flee
Running far away from here
This world of light so gold and clear
The land is calm, the world is bright
The chase will end a planet light
Nature's song will fill the trees
Everlasting, holy, song to please
A child on earth, gods hidden seed
Youths innocent heart that forever beats
The realm of light where song still sings
A life in future when darkness leaves

I wrote this for an advanced English project on the book 'the outsiders' if you have never heard of it I highly recommend it. (Spoilers) the project was based on after Johnny dies and dally... anyway it was if pony boy wrote a poem about Johnny and their experience to help cope. I ended up with that and I really enjoyed the project.
