Love yourself; said the paper stuck in my room
Only now, did I realise what it truly meant.
You know yourself better than anyone else.
So stop expecting people to cheer you up.
Stop expecting people to be there for you.
Stop expecting them to understand your problems.
Stop expecting them to have time for you.
Stop expecting them to be only one call away.
Stop expecting people to care.
It is not their duty, but yours.
Only you can understand yourself,
In a way no one ever will.
Only you can decide the way you feel,
Though you don't realize it yet.
Don't give the world, the power to crush you,
Be strong. Be brave.
We need love to live.
So start with yourself first
Fall in love with yourself,
And you'll notice the difference.
