Left Behind

    It seemed as though time had stopped all around them. The music had ceased to ring in her ears and everyone around then seemed to disappear. They stared into each other's eyes which seemed to had been for forever. Then everything came back all of a sudden with Melody ran behind her grabbed her shoulders shaking them violently. "Hey there you done slipped away from us have you? Come on lets go dance!" She said holding onto Elena's shoulders then looked at the man with a glance and let go of her and whispered. "We're in the back come find us if this doesn't go well." She giggled and ran off to the rest of their friends.

   Elena hadn't taken her eyes off Hunter and neither did he till Melody had ran off. "I'm sorry that's just my friend she's a wild one."

   "I can see that, well at least she came and checked on you my friends haven't even tried to check on me." Hunter said smirking then sipped on his drink and smiled a little.

   "Well I was just gonna read and ignore them.  Drink soda and read then leave when they were done." Elena watched him sip on his drink as it passed through his lips she couldn't help but blush and turned her head away.

"I didn't really want to come here they kind of forced me to." He smirked at her and looked away. "I'm going to go to the bathroom but nice talking to you, maybe I'll come find you." Hunter got up taking his glass with him and she watched him out the corner of her eye as he walked away from her.

"I couldn't be even more of a loser." She thought to herself as she continued reading her book drinking the soda.

Time slipped by as her friends danced their time away and Elena sat there ordering drink after drink hoping Hunter came back to her. Elena looked at her phone for the time and saw that it was one in the morning. "Alright they have to be done now." Elena got up and walked around the club with it being half empty realizing something very upsetting. "They left me?!?!" Fumed with anger she walked to the door and stood outside calling Melody over and over again with no luck. "Great what am I going to do now?" She said looking around sighing.

"Could I be of help maybe?" Elena knew that voice it was Hunter, she turned around and looked at him holding her phone as he looked at her and smiled.

"Unless you have money for a cab or a car I don't think you can help. My friends sort of forgot about me." She said putting her phone away.

"Well I have a car my friends rode with someone else thank god for that, I didn't want to clean up vomit off my floor." Hunter chuckled looking over at her as the valet pulled around with his car. "I can give you a ride it's no problem."

    "Can I trust you? I don't usually go jumping in cars of strangers I meant at a club." She said in a sarcastic tone holding her book and laughed a little.

   "Well I promise you Elena I will not kidnap you, just take you home." Hunter opened his passenger door then walked over to the other side getting in the driver's seat. Elena smiled not knowing any other options and got into the car closing the door. He smiled at her then put his foot on the gas driving off into the night following her directions to her house. Elena stared out the window not knowing if this was a mistake to get into a stranger's are or it was meant to happen.
