Chapter 34: The Real Princess

Although the Jarvin house looked incredibly small on the outside, it really wasn't on the inside. It was actually quite a big bungalow with enough space for all three Jarvin's to live comfortably and invite guests when necessary.

Lucy loved the Jarvin house and since she had returned to Hogwarts she wished that she could still be there and stay with the Jarvin's. One of the things she had missed the most about the place was one room she had stumbled upon when exiting the bathroom one evening.

She was sure the Jarvin's wouldn't mind her having a look around so she opened the door and found herself in a big empty room with just a tapestry on the wall. Lucy had read somewhere that all pure-blood families had one of these to show how happy they were to be Pure blood. It made Lucy wonder how the Jarvin's had managed to get this all the way to England from America because it wouldn't have been the easiest thing to get in the country. (Or perhaps they just used the summoning charm but Lucy wouldn't want to hazard a guess).

Lucy walked around the room and admired every member that was related to Matt until eventually she found him underneath Anastasia and Scott Jarvin. He had an empty space underneath and beside him that was just waiting to be filled.

"Oh, damn, you found the tapestry," Matt pretended to groan as he stepped into the room and closed the door behind him.

"Well, I couldn't miss it," Lucy laughed as he joined her side. "It's incredibly fascinating and I wish I had one too."

"You must originate from a pure blood though, surely," Matt frowned as he stared at his own face on the tapestry with something that seemed to be slight disapproval.

"Yes. My grandmother, Eileen, was pure-blood but she married a muggle, Tobias. Then they had my dad, making him half-blood and then there's me, another half-blood. The second half-blood in the family and also Merlin's descendant."

"Well who cares if you're pure-blood, half-blood or mud-blood. It doesn't matter," Matt shrugged. "You're still a person."

"Agreed," Lucy nodded but then she suddenly remembered Matt's wish from the Mirror of Erised. If he were to marry Lucy, wouldn't that make him a traitor? "Matt?"

"Yes?"

"If you married me, wouldn't that make you a traitor? I mean, everyone else in your family is a pure-blood and I'm a half-blood. Wouldn't your other family be a bit ashamed?"

"Yes," Matt nodded, not lying to her. "They'd be very ashamed of me but they won't be ashamed if I told them that you've saved the wizarding world. I'm sure they won't object to that."

"Shut up," she laughed and he put an arm around her.

"What? You will do it, I don't care what you think."

They stood there in silence, admiring the tapestry and the members of Matt's family. It was really an interesting piece of work and fascinating to see how much family Matt actually had.

"I had a friend called Anastasia," Lucy pointed to Matt's mothers' picture on the tapestry. "Anastasia Garcia."

"You've told me about her," he nodded then huffed. "Zuc sucks."

"I'm going to put that on a t-shirt."

"I'd wear that."

"I'll get Zuc to model them."

"And Kingston?"

"And Kingston."

"Well at least we know what job you're going to have when you're older."
