Jason vs. Bruce

Claire walked down the hall wanting some Chocolate milk, she stopped a pair of double doors but what made her stop was the light shining through the door and the voices.

"Well what am I supposed to do Bruce, he took everything from me! He took the love of my life and fucking killed me!"

Claire poked her head into the room. Bruce and Jason were yelling at each other, yeah, the did that but never around her. If they began to fight usually Alfred would make them stop fighting or Damian or Babs would take her out the room.

"Jason--I know how you fee--

"Don't you fucking dare. The Joker killed me and what did you do?? FUCKING REPLACED ME!"

The outburst caused the young girl to jump back.

"Jason. I'm sorr--

"Don't even, Dick was right you changed old man, you don't give a damn about us. And probably never did."

Claire hide behind a pot plant. Has her brother stormed off.

Claire was about follow him when I felt someone tap my shoulder.

"Why are you still up little bird?" Dick bent down and scooped me up in his arms.

"I wanted some chocolate milk but I heard Daddy and Jay fighting." She said in a hushed voice.

Dick sighed and walked to the kitchen. He sat her on the counter.

And handed her a glass of milk. 

"Look I know your young but you have to know were not a picture-perfect family. I mean...just look at our night jobs." He mumbled the last part. 

He looked back at his sister and sighed, "Just know whatever happens with Bruce or the others I won't leave you lost and confused. You should be able to be a little kid." 

After she finished her drink he placed the glass in the sink and placed her on the ground. "Night Dicky." He gave her a small smile, "Night Little bird." He walked down the hall yawning heading back to bed. 

Claire walked out the kitchen and walked upstairs, she went back to her room and got back into her bed and went to sleep thinking about her family which may not be as perfect as she used to think.
