Dipper's PoV
It was late when Mabel and I came inside from putting fliers in the woods for grunkle Stan. I decided to go upstairs to read the journal I found in the woods. When I opened the door, I was tackled by my cousin Trinity, who was overjoyed to see me. "Trinity, I didn't know you were coming here too!" I said as she hugged me to death. "Trinity!" Mabel squealed in excitement as she rushed over to hug her. "Mabel!" Trinity squealed in return as she let go of me to hug her cousin. I was left gasping for air as my fifteen year old cousin Alex helped me up. "Glad to see you again Dipper," he said as he ruffled my hair. "Nice to see you too, I don't remember Trinity having that strong of a grip," I said as I sat down on my bed. "You'll get used to it," he said as he looked toward the journal."What's that?" Alex asked, gesturing to the journal in my hands. I hid the journal inside my vest. "Nothing," I lied. Alex just gave me a I-know-your-hiding-something-so-let-me-see-it look. "Come on, I just wanna see it real quick." I didn't want to hand up the journal because of it's eerie message inside, 'TRUST NO ONE', but I let my cousin look at it. "Where did you find this?", Alex asked wide eyed in excitement as he flipped through the pages. "In a tree in the woods" I said. This is amazing, I can see why you didn't want to let me see it," Said Alex. "I probably would have stolen it." I took the journal back worrying that he might actually steal it for some reason. "Don't worry I won't,"he said when he noticed the look I had on my face. I then decided to change the subject,"So why are you two staying in Gravity Falls? "I ask. "Our parents needed to go on a long business trip, and grunkle Stan was the only one who could accept us on such a short notice,"Alex explained to me. "So how long are they going to be gone?"I ask. "For the whole Summer I think" "That's absolutely the best thing ever!" Mabel squealed,"I get to be with TrinTrin all summer!" "Hey kids, its time to hit the sack,"grunkle Stan called to us from the living room. Mabel and I lied down on our beds while Alex and Trinity pulled out their mattresses.
I slept pretty well that night, until I woke up because my legs were hurting for no real reason. Must be just growing pains, I thought to myself before falling back to sleep. My dreams after that were of a large field, and in that field was a herd of deer. I was one of those deer. It was the best dream I had ever had. I felt free.
Mabel's PoV
I was in the sea in my dream, surrounded by fish. The fish were the most beautiful things I had ever seen. Their scales flashing in rainbows of color as the sun bounced off of them, and their fins drifting elegantly in the current. Where ever they swam, I followed. I eventually looked at myself in a sunken mirror, and was pleased at what I saw. I was one of the fish. I felt free.
Trinity's PoV
I dreamed that I was a spider. A spider weaving a web worthy of a queen. I spun my web with creativity and grace, forming my thoughts into reality. I was joined by another spider, who made his own web with equal grace as I did. It was a beautiful sight to see. We were joined by more spiders, who's webs were made with the grace of an artist, until the webs joined into a beautiful portrait, shining from the morning dew. This is where I belonged. I finally felt free.
Alex's PoV
I had a dream. A dream I wish I could forget. A dream that I was in a dark, snowy, forest. A man was running in fear from a horrible creature with the horns of a deer. The monster leapt onto the man and pinned him to the ground. The man looked up in terror at the beast as it opened it's fanged maw. He was killed in an instant when the antlered beast tore at his throat. I screamed in horror as the monster proceeded to consume the man. It then turned to me at the sound of my voice, blood staining the snow red as it dripped from it's face. My face.
