ASHLEY POV

Rayne and her parents were talking in the living room. I felt like something was happening. I started to walk to the door before I heard Rayne scream.

"Ashley!"

I pushed the door open and ran in. I took in my surroundings and couldn't believe what I saw. They were both on top of her. Then everything went into slow motion. I saw him punch her jaw and she screamed. The woman stood above her and kicked her chest. Killer ran over and bit the man, but was thrown across the room. That's it!

I felt the adrenaline rush through my blood. I ran full speed at the man and tackled him, putting him in a headlock. He tried to fight me, but by the way his stomach looked I'm guessing he doesn't work out.

"That... Little... Bitch..." He yelled trying to breath. His hand thumped to the ground as he passed out. I threw him off me and ran to the kitchen where CC had just gotten off the phone, I'm guessing with 911.

I slowed down when I saw her. She was covered in her own blood and already starting to bruise.

"RAYNE!" I yelled hugging her small body. "YOUR GOING TO BE OKAY!"

"Is she okay?" Jinxx yelled still holding that foul woman.

"She's losing a lot of blood!" Andy yelled back. I picked her and fell to the floor.

"Stay with me Rayne! Please! I can't lose you too!" I yelled rocking her in my lap on the floor.

I can't loose her too. I watched my parents die in the front seat of our car before the authorities even got there.
She looked at my eyes as if fighting to stay awake, but then her eyes fluttered closed.

I heard sirens and looked up to see EMTs with a stretcher.
They took her from me with difficulty.

"Can someone come with in case she wakes up?" Andy asked a woman.

"Only one person. Otherwise I can't do my job." She replied walking swiftly toward the ambulance.

"Ashley!" Andy yelled. I nodded my head and hopped in the back right before the doors closed.

She drifted in and out of consciousness throughout the short ride to the hospital.

When we got there I was told to stay in the waiting room. I couldn't leave her, but I couldn't keep fighting them. Otherwise they'd put a needle in my neck, to make me go to sleep, like they did when I was little.

I paced the white room waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
Andy  ran in the door looking almost as pale as the walls. Juliet followed closely behind him.

"Ashley!" He said running over to me.
I looked over at him and quit pacing.

"Is she okay?" CC asked running in followed by Jake and Jinxx.

"I don't know. They won't tell me anything." I said running my fingers through my hair.

"Ashley... We need to tell you..." Andy started before getting cut off.

"Family of Rayne?" A short nurse asked looking at a clipboard.

We all gathered around her, most likely making her uncomfortable, but I didn't care.

"How is she?" CC asked looking down at her with sad eyes.

"Come with me." She stated simply walking into a tan colored room. There was a pale girl in the bed hooked up to life support.

"I think we're in the wrong roo..." I started,
then it hit me.

That was Rayne.
