Two days went by that I was in Proud Pond. I played tag with some other fish and Tremendous Trout had a little talk with me.
"So, you know Sadie, do ya?" he said.
"Yes. She was my owner. Why? Do you know her too?" I asked.
"Sure do. Her nephew ate me."
I had no words.
"Wait. Her nephew...ate...you?" I said. This was wierd.
"Yep. Last summer. Apparently, I was delicious," he said.
"Well, how could I at least contact her to see how she is?" I asked.
"At the end of Proud Pond is an oracle. She will get you contact to Sadie," he said.
"But, I thought Proud Pond had no ends," I said.
"There's a beach and actually another end. Just go behind you and swim for about two days. With plenty of rest. It'll be about three to five days," he said, leaving.
"Thanks!" I yelled.
I looked into the gloom of the pond. It was dark and scary. I needed help.

"Why do you want to get to the end?" asked Soda.
"Because I want to see Jemmy," I said.
"Oh. Why?" he asked.
"Because she was having wierd dreams and visions and I wanted to make sure that she was okay!" I said. I was a little annoyed. Soda may have been my brother, but he didn't need his nose in my business all the time.
"Oh. Alright, I guess I'll come with you," he said.
Took you long enough, I thought.
We packed up our extra food and set out to see where the pond would take us.
