Phil's POV
As soon as I step out there are hundreds of Royal princes and princesses being greeted by servants at the doors. The kings and queens go up to the top floor to socialize with the other 'parents' and watching, praying that their children find love. Less love and more marriage.
I walk down the staircase that leads up to my room so I can start dancing. The music isn't my favorite, but I am a prince, I guess I'll have to deal with it won't I.

Dan's POV
When we go through the extravagant doors there are many people dancing with Each other and trading partners here and there. I try to not look as impressed as I am with this place. I look up and around to see all of the kings and queens stood on the top floor looking down with their monocles and glasses. I try to stay serious and not laugh at how bitchy they all look, after all I am a guest, I must be a presentable as possible, at least that's what my parents always tell me.
I immediately depart from my parents sides with a bow as they walk up to the top floor. Their coats are taken by servants at either side of the magnificent staircase. I try so hard to look formal and not casual, like I said, I'm a very awkward human being and I hate parties. I go to the table with all of the food first, obviously. "Would like some wine sir?" A servant with an awesome mustache comes by with a platter of white wine. I grab a glass of of the platter and nod. He walks away as I take a huge sip, gulp, of the wine. God knows I need it for tonight.
I look around some more with a quarter amount left in my cup, when something, someone catches my eye.

Phil's POV
When I reach the bottom of the stairs a maiden immediately walks up to me with a large smile on her face. She extends her hand, palm facing down and I grasp it to kiss it. We both slightly bow and we walk out to the dance floor. She has a beautiful blue ball gown on with her blonde hair up on a carefully styled bun. I try to seem interested in her with a smile on my face constantly. I feel bad because I don't want to marry someone who I couldn't love and who actually loves me. I don't have the heart for that. I twirl her around and catch a glimpse of two glass slippers on her feet. They look like the most uncomfortable things in the world. I can't tell if I feel sorry that she must wear these or that she was forced come to this thing.
The song finally ends and I excuse myself from her side for a moment to head outside, I need some fresh air. I hope that no one sees or follows me.
I walk quickly to a hiding spot that I'm sure only I know of. It's a garden area with a beautiful fountain, flowers, grass, and a blossom tree, like the ones that you see in Japan. (Idk if that is accurate don't come for me). I aid on a little stone bench near the fountain and bury my face in my hands. I'm over hiding my self, but I have to for the good if the kingdom. But again, those are my parents words, not mine.
