Chapter Fourteen

Fergal's P.O.V
Today,  I've decided to take Eve out to the Mall to get her some new clothes.

Eve had a hold of my left hand while I carried the small bags of clothes in my right. She was so happy and excited to come to the mall,  she wouldn't stop smiling.

Me: Hey sweetheart, do you-

I looked down to Eve, but she wasn't there. My heart began to beat loudly as my anxiety grew. I looked around,  as people passed by me, I couldn't spot her anywhere. This had reminded me of when we played hide and seek, I thought she had disappeared,  but now I think she has.

Eve weaved through the adults and children that walked by. She looked at the pale mannequins that were all dressed up in the windows, she laughed at how funny they looked then moved on,  looking from window to window. A boy a little taller than her came into view, he had green eyes with rusty brown hair, she ran up to him.

Eve: Hi, I'm Eve.

Boy: I'm Malachi

They both had laughed at the funny looking mannequins and looked through the windows.

Woman: Malachi! Malachi?

A short woman,  probably no taller than 5'2", was coming towards them, she had light brown hair down to her shoulders with blue hues. She rushed over to Malachi.

Malachi: mama, I made a new friend.

He pointed at Eve.

Eve: Hi, I'm Eve.

The mother began to grow concerned for the young little girl who her son had found.

Woman: Hi there, I'm Jay, what happen to your parents,  did you get lost.

Eve: I went to look at something.

Jay sighed,

Jay: OK, you stick with me while we find your parents. No running off.

Eve: OK...

Fergal's P.O.V
I wondered up and down the wide area of the children's section were they had the cute little 75 cent rides, and other things like it. It was so hard to find her,  that I mistakenly thought a different little girl was her along with a different one. I hope she's OK, I don't know what I'd do with out her. She must have spotted something she really liked because normally she wouldn't do this.

Jay was holding Eve on her hip while her son,  Malachi, held onto her free hand,  they searched up and down the mall for the little girls parents.

Jay: Eve, I don't see your parents anywhere.

Eve: It's just my Dad

Jay became a little confused as to why she didn't tell her earlier.

Jay: oh, well let's look for you Dad then.

Fergal's P.O.V
I wondered around a little bit more, passing by kids and parents, I met a few fans as well.

???: Dad!

I looked around me to see who it was. Low and behold, Eve. She ran up to me her arms wide open, I picked her up and hugged her closely to me.

Me: I've been looking everywhere. Where were you?

Eve: The nice lady, Jay.

She pointed at a nice-looking woman who ran up to us, there was a little boy holding her hand as well.

Me: Thank you, miss, for watching over my daughter. I thought I'd lost her.

I shook her other hand and gave it a good hand shake.

Jay: Actually it's my son here you should thank.

She picked her son up, placing him on her hip.

Me: Thank you too

I shook his hand as well.

Jay: you're not from here are you? You have an accent.

Me: yeah, I was raised in Ireland. The name's Fergal by the way.

Jay: I'm Jay and this is my son Malachi.

I couldn't stop staring at her eyes,  they were so beautiful, I managed to pry me eyes away and fix Eve's bangs from her eyes.

Jay: I have to get going, Malachi and Eve get along very well,  so if you ever want to set up a play date, just give me a call.

She handed me a small piece of paper with her cellphone number on it then left. Malachi waved goodbye and so did Eve. I managed to find the exit of the giant mall and unlocked my car, Eve hopped into the back and I got into the drivers seat. Eve buckled herself in and I did as well,  then started the car and drove off towards the house.

Eve sat on her bed while I folded and put her new clothes away in her dresser.

Eve: I'm sorry for running off.

Me: you're still a kid, so I understand, but don't ever do it again.

Eve: Ok

Once I was done we both went down stairs and I made us supper, Eve jumped around; dancing with Kodak in her arms. I told her it was time to eat, and she came to the table, sitting across from me. After we finished eating I gave Eve a bath,  and we went to bed. She had actually fallen asleep on my shoulder so I tucked her into my bed, snuggling her up to my chest and drifted asleep.
