Chapter Sixteen

Little feet padded across the wooden floor of, the very famous, Finn Bálor's apartment. The man was bent over opening and closing cabinets looking for his beloved daughter. He quickly shot up at the sound of the little feet padding across the floor, it sounded like they were coming from the living room. Determined, Fergal, aka Finn, followed only to find the little girl nowhere in sight as he searched the living room.

A smile formed his lips, he spotted the 5 year old snuggled​ into the corner of the front door.

Fergal: Got 'ya!

Eve and her dad, Fergal, had been playing hide 'n seek, and boy was Eve good at hiding.

Picking up the girl, Fergal held her to his chest giving her side a tickle making her squirm in laughter, Fergal gave a chuckle before placing Eve down on the couch.

Eve: when can we see Jay again?

Finn gave her a happy smile

Fergal:I actually invited to a play date at the park.

Finn couldn't wait to meet Jay again, needless to say that man had fallen in love. Could love at first sight possible be true? Finn wasn't so sure just yet.

Fergal: Hold still.

Eve: Daddy, you're pulling my hair!

Finn did his best at brushing the knots out of Eve hair delicately as he possibly could.

Finn was busy with Eve's shoe teaching her how to tie, she had been asking for quite some time for him to teach her how, and Finn decided to to pass the time as they waited for Jay.

Eve: Hi miss Jay!

Hollered the little girl. Finn turned his head to see the woman he become so fond of, walking up to them holding her son, Malachi by the hand.

Jay: Hi little Eve. Hi Fergal.

She gave them both a bright smile and Malachi greeted them too. And so the playdate began, Eve ran off with Malachi to a nearby tree, while Finn and Jay sat on the bench chatting up a storm.

Jay: So, you're from Ireland, right?

Finn: Yep, and your from?

Jay: Pennsylvania, I grew up their with my Aunt and Uncle.

As they began to talk more and more, Finn began to learn more about Jay. Her name is actually Jaide, and her Birthday is in February, like Eve's. She also is a painter and artist. Hearing about that, made Finn somewhat excited, knowing that she could be the one to do his body paint next time.

Jay learned alot about Finn as well. His name was Fergal Devitt, and that his birthday was in July and that he was a wrestler working for the WWE as Finn Bàlor. Jay was for sure she had saw or heard about before from somewhere. She was a fan of wrestler, and still is even though she really couldn't make time to watch it.

Finn looked over at Eve and Malachi, watching as they went from playing Tag to climbing a tree. The sun had peeked through the clouds, shinning it's rays down upon them. Fergal smiled at its warmth, before something caught his eye. It was Shiny and gleamy, he looked in its direction, it was from a small diamond attached to a thin flimsy silver band. It was on Jay's left ring finger, and it could only mean one thing.

Eve pulled yourself onto a branch higher than Malachi.

Eve: Ha! I'm higher than you!

She rubbed it in his face, just like the child she was. It was now a competition between the two to see which was the most daring to go farther up the tall oak tree.

Karma, however, along with Gravity, had other plans.

Eve was in the zone climbing up tree, wasting no time to beat Malachi.

Malachi: Wait, Eve! That's too--!!!

But his voice did nothing to stop his friend. Eve had misplaced her foot on a nasty rotten branch, and it gave way to her sudden weight. Their was no stopping her fall, Malachi wasn't close enough. And so Gravity took hold of the little girl, as she fell snapping branches, while hitting others.

Finn: You're married?

Jay looked up from her phone, having received a text moments earlier.

Jay: Oh, I'm sorry I didn't tell--

But her soft voice was cut of by a shrill scream.

They both looked in front of them, seeing Finn's daughter falling from the tree. Finn shot up to his feet, running. But he wasn't quick enough, it was already too late as Eve hit the ground.
