CHAPTER THREE:

When we finally arrived at the emergency room, my whole family and Norman and Sheila followed me inside. After the lady at the desk added me into her computer, I practically fell into one of the waiting room chairs surrounded by everyone who came with me.

My dad sat next to me and decided that he was gonna wait with me while my mom and sisters went home to let people into our house for the party that started 5 minutes ago. Norman and Sheila said goodbye to me and wished me luck as they walked out of the door. My mom who was crying at this point kissed my head lightly as if I could break easily, then told me to be strong. I held back the tears by bitting my lips as my 7-year-old sister, Tori, hugged me with her small arms while she examined my face closely. Then my other 11-year-old sister, Brielle, hugged me tight with her firm arms and told me I was gonna live. That is when the tears came out.

I felt like I had been holding back a damn and it felt so good to finally let it go. I grabbed her hand as she turned away and with all my might, stood up so I could hug her back. I held onto her tight because I didn't want her to go, I wanted her the stay with me and hug me till I couldn't feel the pain anymore. She hugged me back and told me I was going to be ok. And with that she set me back down onto the seat and held my hand so I would calm down.

When they finally had to go she let go and they left. I pulled out my phone to examine my face closely in the light as my dad and I sat in silence. I was mad that in the car I was a few drops of blood from being unconscious and he was yelling and screaming at me. While we waited he tried talking to me and asking me what happened but I wasn't up to talking so I shrugged because honestly the event was such a blur. It was as if it happened weeks ago so I couldn't remember the minor details.

Then finally I got called back to be checked.
