CHAPTER FOUR:
When we first walked back the nurse had me sit down because she saw how unstable I was. She handed me some gauze which soaked up my blood in seconds. She weighed me and started talking to my dad about the dog and whether it was updated on its vaccines. As I glanced around the small room then looked out of the door which was wide open, I saw doctors and nurses running around, writing on clipboards, and talking to each other in calm but, worried voices.
Then the nurse turned to me and asked, "Alright let's get you into a proper room shall we?"
I nodded my head in reply and followed her down the hall. While we were walking I looked at the people in beds as I pasted them and they stared at me as if I wasn't of this earth. Adults just took quick glances, while younger kids stared me down with their small eyes. When we arrived in the room it had two curtains and between them were beds. The corner we walked past had nobody in it. Then the nurse stopped me at the middle one and told me a doctor would see me in a few minutes. While we were waiting I could hear a little boy next to me talking and talking, although I couldn't see him because of the curtain. He sounded perfectly ok giggling and blabbering to his parents.
Then the doctor came in and walked by us telling us he would be there soon as he continued to the little boy. When he got there I heard him talking to the parents about how the boy was going to need stitches because it was severe. I kept praying to myself that I didn't need them because I have only ever had them one other time and it hurt a lot because they don't numb it beforehand.
Then I heard the doctor start talking to the boy
"Ok John, now I'm going to put this stuff on you boo-boo so it doesn't get infected ok?"
"Alright!" the little boy chirped.
Then the doctor must have applied it because the little boy let out a blood-curdling scream. He screamed and screamed then started crying to his parents.
"Mommy get it off it hurts!!! Mommmyyyyyy!!!!"
"It's going to be ok John it's going to start to not hurt soon ok.!" his mother said with a calm tone.
Then his crying started to die down as it soothed him more and more, to the point where he was talking again.
Then the doctor came to us next.
"Alright what happened here?!?!?" he said in a fake worried voice as if he had seen stuff worse than this.
My Dad explained the story and the doctor cleaned it up and told me to put Neosporin on it freely. He said it wouldn't need stitches and that I'm am very lucky it didn't bite deep into the tissue. Soon enough I was ok to go and as I was walking towards the car with my dad my phone started ringing.
"Riiiing"
"Hey Mom!"
"Hey sweetie is everything alright, do you need stitches?"
"Ya mom I need stitches and they want to keep me over night for observation."
I glanced at my Dad who was in hysterics as I kept lying to my mom.
".....Oh....."
*Softly weeping*
"Mom I'm just kidding me and Dad are on our way home now ok?"
"Are you kidding!?!? You had me scared to death!!!"
"I'm sorry I'm sorry dad told me to!"
"Well then see you in fifteen minutes."
"Bye mom love you!"
"Bye lovey!"
After a silent drive home, my Dad parked down the street because our guests had practically taken up the whole driveway. I slowly pulled myself out of the car and followed my dad up the driveway. He walked in the front door, and waited for me to follow, then I told him I would be there in a few, he closed it leaving me to my thoughts.
