Alya's POV

"Marinette Dupain Cheng?"

No answer. Silence.

Miss Bustier sighed in sadness.

The rest of the class simply looked down.

She's absent again huh?

I looked beside me to see an empty seat.

Oh Mari. Take time. Just don't do anything dumb.

"Hey, Al?"

I looked to the side to see a familiar blonde haired girl with specs and eyeliner.

"Oh hey Chlo. Something wrong?"

"No I'm okay. I'm just worried about Mari. I got a feeling something bad is going to happen."

She looked very disturbed....

"Why do you say that?"

"I don't know...it feels like my heart got a piece taken away again. From the same spot..."

I couldn't agree more. From yesterday night, I wasn't feeling so normal. Something bad is going to happen and I know I'm not the only one feeling that.

Miss Bustier had announced that the syllabus was complete a few days ago, so she's been giving us free periods. Sometimes, from her actions, she seems just as sad as us. She sat down on her desk and started mailing.

"Marinette better not do something stupid. Or I will kill that girl"

Tears threatened to spill from my eyes. Nino came and hugged me as I sobbed into his shoulder, ruining his new t-shirt. I silently apologised to him. I know he heard and he said that it's okay in the same way. I could hear him barely, but he did sniff a bit too.

Chloe was no better than I was. Nathaniel had noticed and came to comfort her. Chloe didn't even care whether it was Nath or Kim or anyone. She immediately hugged him and started crying.

Nino better remind me to hook up Clothaniel once Adrienette is sailing.

Adrien was the worst out of all of us. He didn't talk to anyone, he didn't eat anything, he didn't look at the classboard, he just stared at the charm Marinette gave him a year ago. On the day they were gaming for practice.

He would eventually say "Why don't you do anything?" out loud time to time.

Charms surround you with good luck, don't they?

He's been crying everyday. He's been so confused. He doesn't know what to do.

Neither of us do.

-----------------*time skip*-------------------

I reached home and plopped down onto my bed. My eyes threatened to cry and then close but I didn't want to. My eyes hurt way too much from staying up the entire month. I decided to sleep for a while.

Before I knew it, it was 9. I felt groggy but sat up.

I turned to the side and saw an orange envelope.

Chloe's POV

I reached home and thanked Nath over the phone. Though people thought I'd be flipping out because he hugged me, I'm actually grateful he did.

Mari, you better be okay.

I took off my spectacles and placed them on my study-desk. I put my phone to charge as well.

No vibrations and notifications.

It feels good.

The gang deactivated their social media after giving up on trying to make the media understand that things should remain personal and what they saw was far twisted than what's actually happening. New theories would sprout up on every single word said. So we uninstalled Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Facebook, etc. for a while. We were getting tired. I hope they get it soon.

I started doing homework and when I was done, it was quite late. Woah, time does go fast sometimes.

I stretched to loosen up my back a bit.

I noticed something.

Something yellow.

I picked it up from the desk. I guess I didn't see it when I came home.

"Huh? A letter?"

Nino's POV

I placed my bag down as I entered my room. I sat on my bed and started to take out a textbook and read it, to just try and get my mind off all the drama.

Luckily I finished my homework in school. So I decided to read my History Textbook for a while. After my mom called for dinner, I stopped reading and put it back.

After eating, I rerurned to my room and saw a light blue envelope beside my lamp.

I sat down on my bed as I took it in my hands "Strange.."

Adrien's POV

After school I had gone for another photoshoot. It was that "Mama's Spaghetti" guy again.

Although his funny accent managed to cheer me up a bit, my mind never left the thought of a bluenette.

A cheerful, happy bluenette who nobody had seen from her school for the entire month.

A bluenette who's radiating scent of freshly baked cookies and pancakes was no longer found.

I couldn't smell that beautiful fragrance anywhere. It was gone.

I plopped down onto my bed. Hoping the cushions and softness of it would help me hide away from all the bullcrap I had done. Too bad it didn't work.

"Hey. Kid."

"Plagg the cheese is in the 2nd drawer under my desk"

"Yeah I know."

Slightly annoyed, I replied with a bit of irritation "Then what?"

"I found this on your desk while getting my camembert."

He handed me a green coloured envelope.

"I don't recall seeing this here..."

Third person POV

All four of them opened up their respective letters.

Dear Adrien/Nino/Alya/Chloe

When they recognised the handwriting of the block letters, that's when four pairs of eyes became puffy and red.

They were lucky an akuma popped up before they could read any other word, or they would most probably not be able to think straight and would be even more tired than before while they're on the battlefield.
