Chapter 4: Is this a Good Idea?
I closed my eyes and open them in an instinct to see if this actually was real. It sure hell was.
"Ugh, what are you doing here? I'm not your pet. You don't need to look out for me." I said as I grabbed the shot.
"First of all HI, how are you?" He said with sarcasm. "Second, I don't see you as my pet. I see you as the girlfriend of my amazing best friend. That's why I'm looking out for you, since he's not able to watch over for you. And if you don't mind I'm taking this." He said as he took away my drink.
"EXCUSE ME?" I asked surprised
"This is some shit you don't want to take," he said pointing the drink.
"Why's that?""I know this is hard for you, you may think this is the only way to feel better, but it's not. Drinking will make it worse, trust me." He said.
"Whoa Bieber, I don't even know you and you're already asking for my trust?" I said trying to piss him off
"Jennifer, I say it to you with experience, one thing is to go to parties with your friends and another is go to the bar alone to get drunk. Once you start you think you can control it, but it becomes an addiction and it's bad for you. You are depressed and you don't know it. Why don't we go to my house and we get to know each other?" He said all friendly giving me his elbow to take
"I just came here to get my mind off things for a while, but I guess we can go to your place and talk. I really want to know how you and Jake became friends." I took his elbow and walked with him.
"WAIT! You haven't paid!" The bartender screamed.
I turned around and said all pissed, "right". When I opened my purse I figured I didn't bring money. "Shit," I whispered.
"What's wrong? No money? You came here to hookup with a guy didn't you?" I looked a him with a 'are you serious' face. He took out his wallet and paid the drink.
"Thank you Justin," I said trying to be polite.
He just smiled. Justin went to pick out his jacket and asked, "what's your number?" "I-I don't have my jacket here," I responded.
"What the fuck, Jennifer, it's snowing outside." O my god he is such a drama king.
"I forgot ok? Don't make a big deal out of it." I said directly to him.
"Take my jacket," he said as he saw me shaking waiting for his car to arrive.
"You don't have to do that, I'm the one that forgot her jacket. I'll be fine." I said handing it back.
"For God's sakes take the jacket, I'm fine. You're here shaking like crazy with purple lips. I won't take no as an answer." So it's like I didn't have a choice. I took his jacket and said, "thank you".
His red new mustang finally arrived. He opened me the door and I entered.
"So, my house?" He asked
"Yea," I said and nodded.
We arrived to his house and I entered amazed. I quickly got in the family room, as he directed, and took a seat
Justin's POV
I told Jennifer to sit in the family room. I went to get some blankets and hot coco.
I couldn't find them, so I called Zara, my maid.
"Zara, can you please get me some blankets and make some hot coco?"
"Yes sir, anything else?"
"No, thank you, that will be it. I'm going to be in the family room." I stated.
"Alright Mr.Bieber, I will bring them to you." Zara said and I nodded with a smile on my face.
Today I thought it was a good night to get to know Jennifer. I mean, if Jack asked me for help for him to propose, she most be a really special girl.
Jack and I've been close since birth. His mom and mine were like sisters. So we mostly grew up together.
When I got the news that I was getting signed Jack didn't want the media to know he was my friend, he wanted it to keep it normal. On the other hand, Ryan and Chaz didn't want to keep their normal life's, they wanted fame.
We always kept in touch, the only thing was that when we met, it had to be private, like we couldn't go skating because the paps would take pics of us, and he will get known.
Jack didn't want girls to be all over him just because he was my friend. I mean, sure he wanted girls all over him but only for who he really was and not my fame.
I did understood him, I sometimes wish I was a regular person. You know, I miss my privacy.
"Jenn, come here. I need help with the snacks I made." I said my voice directing to the family room, yet I had no response.
I struggled carrying everything, but successfully made it. I saw her peacefully asleep as I entered the room.
I took off her heals and covered her with the blankets Zara had just given me. Should I wake her up and take her home? I mean this looked the most relaxed she had been since the funeral. I let her sleep in the couch, and I went to my room.
Jennifer's POV
I woke up to the sound of police sirens, what was going on?
As I looked around I figured I was not at my house and then I recalled I felt asleep at Justin's house last night. "Shit." I muttered to myself.
