The Deal
Manager's office
"Ma'am grace, pinapatawag niyo daw po ako?."
"You're aware that you will be the one assisting Travis right? I want you to treat him with no exception,treat him as your co employee.understood? Kagaya Nlng ng ginawa ko kanina,I treated him as an employee here,he's late so he deserves a shout right?
"Opo, Sige po ma'am grace. pero bakit po kelangang gawin to sa anak ni madam?"pagtatanong ko Kay ma'am grace.
"Tutal you're the one responsible of him, I think you should know so that you can handle him well. Travis will be the one to inherit their business but the problem is, he has no interests in running their business because all he wants to do is to drive. He's been joining few car racing tournaments, lucky of him, he won all of this tournaments. Kaya naman mas lalo niyang nagustuhan ang pagsali sali sa mga racing na siyang tinututulan naman ng parents niya Dahil delikado. Dahil dito nagkaroon sila ng deal, maipagpapatuloy lamang niya ang pag ka car racing niya kung papayag siya na maging part ng business nila, meaning mag aaral siya sa pagpapatakbo ng kanilang business.kapag naging maganda ang kinalabasan ng pagpapatakbo niya dito, he can do what he wants. But because Travis is a brat, a rude,a childish a self centered, irresponsible person and most of all he is a type of a guy who never respects people thats why madam Sylvia decided to assign him as a table attendant so that he could understand the real meaning of working and he will know how to treat customers right. Madam is believing that if he could treat customers right, hindi magtatagal he would learn to respect others other than customers. At first he refused but he really loved driving so he decided to do it." "Aaaaaa...."yun na lang ang nasabi ko. "siguro nagtataka kung bakit ko alm ang lahat ng ito, kagaya mo, kung hindi sasabihin sa akin ni madam slyvia ang dahilan kung bakit niya ito ginagwa, ay malamang hindi ko din maiintindihan. So paano? Ikaw na bahala sa Kanya. If you have to be harsh on him, Just be! Kung yun ang paraan para matuto siya. Ok?"
"Yes ma'am grace!"
"But remember if something happens, you will be the one responsible."
"Ok po ma'am."
"Sige, you may go."
Pag kalabas ko sa office naisip ko lahat ng sinabi ni ma'am grace.
"grabe! Kailangan pa tlaga siyang gantuhin para LNG magbago siya. Halimaw talaga!" Pag baba ko nakita ko na andun pa din siya, ang Sarap ng upo at pa music music pa. Wagas! Nilapitan ko siya at tinggal ang earphones na nkasaksak sa tenga niya. "Bt naka upo ka prn dyan? Wala kang balak magtrabaho?"whh..." Hindi ko na siya pinagsalita, hinatak ko siya at tinulak papunta sa cr para makapagpalit na. "Hey you! What do you think your doing?!" Pilit siyang lumilingon sa akin habang tinutulak ko siya sa likod. "Wag ka nang madaldal! Bilisan mo na!" Nang makarating na sa tapat ng cr, tinulak ko siya papasok atsaka ko hinila ang pinto para isara. Hindi na siya naka angal. Wala na siyang nagawa kung Hindi sumigaw."you!! Little monkey! I won't let you off once na matapos ako dito!" "K! Basta dito Lang ako, I'll wait for you."
Travis' POV
"K! Basta dito Lang ako, I'll wait for you." After I heard those words, I felt something strange. Siguro Dahil ngayon Lang may nagsabi sa akin nun."teka nga! Ano ba tong pinag iisip ko! That girl is really crazy!"
Nagpatuloy na ako sa pagpapalit, nang matapos ko na isuot yung panget na uniform na to, yung pin naman kung saan naka lagay ang pangalan namin."asssshhhttt! Ano ba to! Bat ayaw Malagay! Bad trip naman ohh! Kasalanan to ni mom and dad ee, kung Hindi nila ako Ipinatapon dito, Hindi ako mahihirapan sa pin na to!! Bat ba kc ako pumayag sa childish deal na to ee!"
Flashback
"Mom, I said I don't want to do it! Wala akong interest sa business natin. Bat niyo ba Ipinipilit sa akin yan?"
"Cause son, you're the one to inherit our business, so wala kaming aasahan kung Hindi ikaw Lang. You will be the one to benefit on this."
"wala din yun kahit iwan niyo sa akin yung business Baka ako pa ang makasira dun."
"Kaya nga mag aaral ka db? Son, please? Pagbigyan mo naman kmi ng dad mo."
"Pagbigyan kayo? But my passion for driving, Hindi niyo ma pagbigyan!"
"Cause it's dangerous Travis."
"Bahala kayo!" I left mom after saying that.
While I'm playing video game on my room... "Travis? Are you there son?"
"Yes mom, come in." I paused the game for a while. Mom sat next to me.
"Travis your father and I talked and we've decided to let you continue driving."
"Really mom!??" Sa sobrang saya ko, napayakap ako Kay mommy."thank you mom, thank you tlaga!" She released herself from my hug and.. "But there is one condition." Nagulat naman ako sa sinabing yun ni mommy. "What?!" "you can continue driving if you will do what we want. That's a deal." "What?! Deal? No mom! Don't think that I'm gonna agree!" "Think of it." Mom stood up and left me. "Deal? Grabe! Their crazy!"
After how many days, di ko alm kung anong pumasok sa isip ko at pumayag ako sa deal na yun, Dahil na rin siguro I can't really let go of driving. Dahil kung Mamatay ako, gusto kong isama sa hukay ko ang mga sasakayan ko.
"Mom?"
"Oh yes, Travis?"
"Deal accepted."
"Really son?"she hugged me "that's my son! Thank you son!"
I hugged her back and smiled.
"You're starting tomorrow as a table attendant."
Wait, nabingi ata ako. Table attendant daw??!! I released myself from her hug. "What's that again mom? Table attendant??"
"Oh yes dear! You heard it right.table attendant." She said proudly while smiling.
I distance myself from her.
"No mom! Your joking! You can't do this to me!" I said with my head shaking.
"I thought I'll be working there as a manager?! How could ...... You're really something mom!!" I walked out and was about to leave the room, when... "There is a feedback form in the cafe, if you got the highest rating for this month, I will let you join atleast one tournament. That'll be the prize for the job well done. Every Job well done is equivalent to one tournament. So I hope Hindi na sasama ang loob mo dyan."
Bigla namang kumislap ang mga mata ko sa narinig kong yun. Hindi na masama!. "I'll think of it" I said to myself. At nagpatuloy na sa paglalakad. Bago pa ako tuluyang maka labas...
" The cafe opens at 9:00am. If You don't show up tomorrow, say goodbye to driving!" Mom added.
I took a deep breath before I finally leave the room. Nang makarating na ako sa room ko, sumalampak ako sa kama. "Job well done is equivalent to one tournament?! Not bad! Hindi naman siguro mahirap makuha yung highest rating na yun, ako pa! Takot nalang ng mga customers na bigyan ako ng mababang rating!"
Kinabukasan
Hanggang ngayon di pa din ako nakapag dedecide. It's already 9:00 at kanina pa ako Paikot ikot dito sa kwarto ko. After 1 hour... "Hay! Bahala na nga! For the sake of driving!" Then I left the house.
