Chapter 2

After running for a little while, they reached the outskirts of town then, Jagg and Sel stopped and looked back to where they left their Father.

"I'm going back" said Jagg abruptly after a moment.

"Jagg, you know he told us to find Valence and train." said Sel trying to convince her brother to keep running.

"No, Sel I won't stand here and do nothing nor will I run away." said Jagg a little bit too loudly.

"It's the best way to help him, Jagg it's the only way to help and not be in the way."

"Yeah, I guess you're right let's go." turning away they hear someone walking towards them.

"Who's there?!?" ask Jagg and Sel in unison as a man comes out of the shadow of a small building.

"Just the person you were looking for... Hello children my name is Valence." said the man in a white V-neck and light gray pants with two swords strapped to his sides. He had long snow-white hair to his shoulders with light blue ends. Valence would be very handsome if he were human but with him being half-blood angel they figured he would be considered ugly in Heaven.

"Oh great... now we have a 'Guardian Angel'." says Jagg sarcastically.

"Jagg!" says Sel while she smacks the back of his head.

"Ow that hurt." he protests.

"Yeah" says Sel "it's supposed to... so be nice or I'll do that again."

"Oh my children, calm down no offense was made." says Valence "especially since I am your fathers best friend after all."

"We know" they say in unison.

"O-Kay then..." says Valence awkwardly.

"Our father told us to find you and train for what's coming, what's killing the other Half-Bloods like us." cries Sel. "Then a Necro-Wraith came along and as far as we know he's still fighting it right now!" nearly screams a very flustered Sel with Jagg's arms around her trying to offer her comfort.

"Come on Sel, we both know he's stronger than to let little old Necro-Wraith take him out like that." he says in a comforting way.

"I know that Jagg but, I can't help but feel that he was in over his own head with this one."

"Yeah, but we've got to believe that when he does whatever it takes to kill that thing its not going to take him from us." Jagg ties to assure her but to little avail.

All the while Valence was standing there watching them, then he suddenly speaks up. "Well kids I hate to sound harsh but we really need to get out of here and get back to my house to train also you should tell your mother you'll be with me for a while and she can visit on any Sunday she likes to."

"Why Sundays?" asks Sel.

"Because that's our day of resting." he responds simply.

"Oh duh" says Jagg.
