Eyes

It's morning. Breakfast outside. That means socializing. Ughhhhhhh.

Levi slumps into his seat and begins sipping his tea. He's the first one at the table and it isn't long before he hears clompy footsteps approaching from behind.

Four-eyes.

"Yo, Levi." Hanji says, plopping right down next to him.

Of all places to sit...

Levi tries to inch away, but Hanji slings her arm around his shoulders. Levi tries his best to look obviously annoyed.

"Ya know," she says, nodding towards Eren. "Aren't his eyes the most beautiful thing?"

His eyes? Huh? How random is that?

But Levi can't help but glance over at him. He's sitting a couple tables away with his back turned.

Levi actually hasn't gotten a good look at Eren's eyes. He can't control his curiousity.

"Is that so?" Levi says and stands up. He tries to seem nonchalant and walks up right behind Eren.

"Eren." Levi says, arms crossed.

Eren slightly jumps but is quick to recover and turns to face Levi. "Yes, Levi Heichou?" Eren says.

Instead of replying, Levi leans in really close to Eren's face to get a better look at his eyes. They are a pleasant mixture of turquoise and green and they sparkle against the morning rays.

Eren goes rigid and slowly leans back. "Um, Heichou?" he questions.

Levi is enchanted by Eren's eyes. He could stare at them all day. He could probably discover another universe within them.

"Oi, Hanji," Levi calls, not breaking eye contact with Eren. "You're right."

Four-eyes strolls up behind them and rests her elbow on Levi's bent back. Eren looks bewildered.

"Told ya." she says and they both walk back to their table.

Once they sit, Levi glares at Hanji. "Don't ever lean on me again."

Four-eyes gives a nervous laugh. "Okay, okay." she says and turns to much on some bread.

Levi takes one quick glance at Eren whos ears are flushing pink. Although his face is neutral, Levi can't help but feel a bit rattled from the situation.

Why did he do that? It's not like him to suddenly become so interested in someone like that. Ughh. So stupid.

As he sips his tea, his thoughts turn back to Eren's eyes. They were beautiful. Unfathomably so. Probably the most beautiful he's ever seen.
