Ch 3

Morning found Hokuto and her siblings sitting in the main room. "Glad I hired them now..this is terrible...i'd hate to think what would've happened if they weren't here. Sei-chan especially;not that Fuuma and Kotori-chan didn't do their part; but he took on Hinoto."

"As much as I hate to admit it as far as Seishirou goes, you're right. I'm glad we still have all three...what exactly is the plan by the way? I mean, Subaru's going to get it so that bloodlust won't be an issue, but he had another job as well, and Fuuma and Kotori-chan...Just, do we have any set plan for the future?"

"For now I say we stay here,if the other coven attacks,we may be forced to leave,I don't want any casualties."

"Hokuto-chan you hired me and my brothers to protect you and allow you to live in this castle,you can't just run away. We're hunters and we will fight until the end."

Both Subaru and Kamui looked a little surprised upon hearing Kotori. "Should you be up yet Kotori-chan? I mean, I know it's just your arm, but still. And are either of your brothers?"

Kamui sighed. "I agree with I guess both of you. This is our home Hokuto, and you did hire them to help us, though I'm hoping it doesn't come down to it Kotori-chan. Plus, if it's just Fei, then it shouldn't be much of a problem in general. Numbers in theory and having any actual brain can win against sheer stupidity and cheating."

"I'm alright,my arm hurts but it' s no different than when I broke my collar bone when I fell out of a tree,the pain will pass. As for my brothers,big brother is awake and complaining he wants to get out of bed already. As for bigger brother..he's still asleep. It's odd seeing him sleep so late,usually he's up at the crack of dawn off to work to try to support us."

Subaru frowned slightly. "Okay, if you say so Kotori-chan. And that might be because he was up earlier when he first woke up."

"As for Fuuma, as long as he doesn't actually try to get up. I'm starting to think you might be the only sane or smart one out of the three of you."

"I'm far from smart or sane. Big brother and bigger brother are just impatient. Always have been and always will be. Although sometimes big brother would learn to keep his mouth shut and maybe he wouldn't get hit so much." Kotori paused to giggle softly.

"He can't help he's an idiot,he just is Kotori-chan." Leaning on the door way was the eldest hunter sibling,glasses on and hair a tousled mess.

Even Kamui laughed a bit, Fuuma did need to keep his mouth shut, he knew that.

"Seishirou-san!" Subaru nearly leaped up from his seat. "How are you? Have you seen your brother yet?"

"I'm perfectly fine and are you kidding? Not seeing him when he's rampaging,I've known him all his life,he's an annoyance."

Subaru smiled a little. "I'm glad you're alright, but you should still go see him, he's been worried Seishirou-san."

"Worried about what? I'm fine aren't I? And Kotori-chan only broke her arm."

"Worried about you, he didn't know at first, he mostly just saw you fall. And obviously siblings worry about each other, I'm sure that even if none of you three say it, you're still worried if one just gets even a scratch."

"Ah Subaru-kun,you're wrong,we don't worry about each other its not our nature."

"THAT'S WHERE YOU'RE WRONG! YOU IDIOT WHAT WERE THINKING TAKING HER ON ALONE! IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ALL THREE OF US!" Fuuma raised one of his crutches and tried to beat his twin over the head with it..with no luck.

"FUUMA! What are you even doing up?! One of us would have taken you to see him or made him go later! I swear....if you pull your stitches...." Kamui personally would redo them, but Fuuma would NOT get the potion he had before. He loved the man and knew Fuuma had been worried about Seishirou, but still.

"See Seishirou-san? Though I have to admit Fuuma-san....you probably should have stayed lying down. Kotori's arm doesn't affect her ability to walk, your leg does though."

"I'm fine! i can walk with the help of these,I'm not going to pull my stitches,I've had worse than this." Again he tried to whack his twin one and this time he nearly face planted and would've if his brother hadn't caught him first."That carpet doesn't taste good,believe me I know.I think you better go back to bed. I will carry you and bind you if you refuse."

"YOU WOULDNT DARE NII-SAN."

"I would."

"And I would fully endorse it and even help. Stop being a stubborn idiot like your twin can be and go back to bed. As you can tell, Seishirou is up, not dead, and at least mostly back to his usual self. We won't just abandon you in your room you know."

"Fine but I swear...you had better watch him,Kotori-chan thats your job."

Kamui sighed. "So will you actually go back without a big fuss? And trust me, I'd be surprised if Subaru really left his side today."

Subaru blushed. "Kamui!! I-I wouldn't want to bother him..."

"Ohohoho,Subaru you do need to take responsibility for your actions therefor you must stay by Sei-chan! And you Kamui let the guy walk around just tell him to take it easy."

"O-o-okay. D-do you mind Seishirou-san??"

Kamui glared lightly but decided it was better to concede to Hokuto's will. "Fine."

"Hmm? why would i mind? More time with my precious Subaru-kun is fine by me."

"Don't fine me like that Kamui! I'll put you on chore duty! ohohoho."

Subaru smiled. "O-okay then."

"I just don't want the idiot hurting himself worse, okay?! I don't really want to let him, but I'm saying fine, I will tolerate it, I'm trusting your judgment Hokuto, what do you want?"

"You to loosen up! The battle is over for now,relax,kick back with us and go easy on Fuuma,he did his job and he knows his body."

A warm hand wrapped around Subaru's own. "I get Subaru-kun all to myself,I'm going to enjoy this."

Kamui gave a small frown. "Okay..."

Subaru blushed bright red but his smile grew. As long as Seishirou didn't push himself, Subaru was happy.
