" GET OFF HER!" The male yelled, angry that somebody was on top of the female he cared so much for. He was shoved back suddenly and she fell to the floor, reaching for him, terror on her face and tears dripping down her cheeks, auburn red hair all in her face as she reached for him. He blinked, confused, where was he? Who was that? Wait, she's in danger, don't reach for her you could pull her in too. He pulled his....hands(?) back and fell away in this strange green light. His vision faded and he woke up with a scream, waking the young girl he resided in. She flinched, " Ugh... Mathias?" She asked, rubbing her eyes with soft yet working hands. He huffed, trying to catch his breath, covered in cold sweat. Tears came to his eyes as he pulled his knees to his chest, " I-I'm fine Rosie.." He muttered with a fake smile, " Go back to sleep. I-I'm ok." He put one hand through his hair, hiding his face. He wasn't human, and he was male. That's all he knew, he couldn't see himself or her, only hear her. He was maneuvering her body, stuck living her life. She could rarely take control, even if he offered it, trying to give it to her. The result of a terrible accident that saved her life and destroyed his further. He could barely take this. It was too much for him. It was bad enough that he was an adult being disrespected and treated like a child, but then he had to remember HER. The girl from the portal, the one with the red ribbon around her right wrist. Her eyes were so blue... he could see her so clearly... yet he couldn't remember WHO she was. WHO HE was. Rosie had resorted to calling him Mathias, " A gift from god" for staying with her despite the fact that he couldn't leave and literally was forced into stealing her life, she saw him as more of a dad than her real father. When Rosie's father was being unfair, he would always be there, taking the hurt for Rosie. He would block off the sound so she couldn't hear him and take the disrespect and verbal or mental abuse for her. It was starting to get to him. 'Trained Dog'...'I'd sell you if it weren't illegal.' His ideas of 'jokes'. They were NOT funny, and NOT something you should be telling your kids. Mathias choked up, and felt phantom arms around him, Rosie's arms. " Mathias... you can't lie to me.. we share the same mind now.. you might have a different personality and different opinions, but we're still together in this. I know you're hurting, and I'm sorry I can't help you get home.." Mathias put a hand over hers, ".. Nothing you can do Rosie.." He replied tiredly, " I'm just tired.. the kind sleep can't cure. I've been stuck here for what?... Sixteen years now? And I still can't remember my own name, or what the fuck I am.."

Rosie pat his back, ".. And you're still hidden in a shade to me.." She sighed, " We'll get away from here soon Mathias, you just have to wait... one more year. " Mathias shook his head, ".. It still won't be right.. I try to live like you would but... I'm NOT a girl.. I can't do it..I just.. Never mind Rosie.... Go back to sleep." She smiled, " Sure, " The silver headed young female replied, her blue eyes shining as she pulled him down beside her in the bed, ".. I'll sleep right here beside you.. maybe you're nightmares will go away." Mathias felt bad. He felt like a kid for needing her beside him, but he didn't have anyone else. He was so lonely here, and he couldn't make friends in the real world, nobody could stand him. They saw something that just scared them, so they steered clear or bullied him. He didn't see it as fair to have Rosie always calming him down, it wasn't good for her.... but.. who else did he really have? He hugged Rosie close to him, " I'm sorry." He whispered as he closed his eyes, Rosie running her hands through his hair. He slowly fell to sleep to Rosie's soft voice humming a country song.
