I woke up from my amazing beauty sleep. Well, I didn't actually wake up. I rolled off my bed and I nearly died. I was about to turn around and set my radio again but I remembered that my amazingly annoying brother took it last night from my room. Great!

"Damn it!" I look at my clock on my night stand and I'm about 10 minutes late. A quick shower it is then. I pick out my clothes and toss them on my bed and run to the shower. I wash my hair and my humbly above body and jump out of the shower. I run across the hall into my room in a towel and shut the door quickly. I throw my towel across my room and get dressed as fast as I can grabbing my beanie, choker and glasses. I push my feet into my boots and get my flannel that's on the edge of my bed. Before walking out I grab my phone, a bracelet and a necklace. I'll just let my silver-ish hair air out, it's already straight, so I don't gotta do anything with it. I grab my bag and my skate board. I pass by the kitchen and grab a granola bar and head out.

I skate two blocks down from my house and towards the bakery. I set my stuff down and get my apron, I check in and breathe. Because come on, I needed to breathe. I pull my hair into a pony tail and set my beanie in my bag next to my skate board.

"You're late Carter." My boss, more like my best friend says to me while he walks into the back grabbing another rack of bread.

"I was about.." I look down at my phone, "Fifteen minutes late Tyler." I laugh and get to decorating the cupcakes I got out of the oven a few minutes ago.

Tyler comes around and hugs me. "Hey! Ya boyfriend might think you're straight!" I laugh and hold onto my stomach to his scrunched up face.

"Oh hush up and do your job. You'll be at the cash register in 5 minutes. Cally had to go home early because she wasn't feeling so fresh, and she was so pale. I called her  dad and he picked her up." He says turning around to look at me.

"AW! But I don't wanna take the register!!" I whine while eating some of the frosting I had taken out of the fridge. He looks at me with an amused expression on his face.

"Bitch no whining. Go, it's already your shift." He says ushering me out of the kitchen. I make it to the front and I stick my tongue out at Tyler.

I stand at the counter and just stay there doing nothing. After a while I took a cupcake out from the display case in the front of the bakery. I started munching on that and waited for someone to walk in through the door so this job can at least be interesting today. After about 20 minutes of eating two cupcakes and a doughnut someone walks in. Hurray! Mind my sarcasm.

The person who walked in looked familiar, but I don't know if I know him or not. After a moment of looking at the display case he looks up and says, "Can I have an Iced Mocha coffee with five sugars and with cream? And a blueberry muffin and  three chocolate chip cookies?" He looks up and then back down, I sum up his total and ring him up.

"That would be $6.95." I  say and hand him his coffee, muffin, and cookies. After a few seconds the guy I rung up was still in front of me. "May I help you?" I ask in a bit of a tone because c'mon, cute guy, fuck do you want?

"You don't remember me?" I shook my head.

"I certainly do not." I said and popped my gum while staring at him.

"Jonathan. From middle school.." He says trailing off. I stare at him in confusion. "Johnny oh Johnny go get your mommy." He says finally and it hit me.

"Little Johnny who cried for his mommy?! Is that you?!" I smiled and he chuckled while scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "How you been squirt?" I ask ruffling his blonde hair.

"I've been fine Carter. You've changed a lot I see." He says looking at me amused.

"Not enough for you to recognize me squirt." I laugh and hear the bells on the door jingle indicating me that someone has entered the bakery. "I'll talk to you in a second. Hold that thought." A girl about seven years old and what seems to be her dad.
