Team Talon Begins

Chapter 3: Surprise

Later while at the game, Jesse noticed that the announcers hadn't been talking for a while. "Nathan, Sophia, do you notice something wrong here?" Jesse asked through the earpieces. "Besides the fact that the D-backs are losing to the Giants by four points?" Nathan joked.

"No, the announcers haven't said anything in a while. Meet me at the booth." Jesse ordered. In a few minutes, the three arrived at the announcers box, ready to go inside. "You boys ready? Sophia asked. "Yeah, let's do it." Nathan whispered. "Yep, let's go." Jesse added calmly.

They slowly opened the door, readying themselves for whoever was inside. "Stop!" Fallout said. All that was in the room were unconscious men, and the main announcer, who was bound and gagged. "Sir, are you all right." Ultima asked the announcer, after they removed the gag. "Yes, thank you." He replied.

"What happened here?" Onslaught asked. "Ni...ni...nin..." He stuttered. "What is it? Nine? Nineteen? Ninety? Ninja?" Fallout asked. "Yes, ninjas, they came and gassed everyone, then they bound and gagged me. I surely thought they were going to kill us." The announcer said. "Which way did they go?" Fallout asked.

"They went up to the catwalk. Stop them, please." He pleaded. "We will, act normal, don't let the ninjas know we are here." Onslaught said. They left and headed up to the top of the stadium to chase after the ninjas. "Guys, do you find this strange? Ninjas? I find that hard to believe." Nathan said. "Next up to bat, pitcher #34, Joe Saunders." The announcer said.

The three ran towards the service elevator to head up to the catwalk. "You guys ready to fight some ninjas?" Sophia asked. "Sure." "Sure." They said. The service elevator opened and the three came out and readied themselves for the ninjas. "What happened, the announcer is talking again?" One of the ninjas asked.

"I thought you were supposed to make sure that he wouldn't get free." Another one said. "I did, he shouldn't have gotten out." The last one said. "Well, who freed him?" The leader said. "We did." Fallout said. "Who are you?!" One of them asked.

"We are Team Talon, and we are here to stop you." Onslaught said. Fallout and Onslaught brought out their staffs, and Ultima brought out her hook staff. The lead ninja yelled and they all charged towards each other, ready to fight. "Split up, you two take her, you take him, and I will handle the leader." The ninja leader said. Two of the ninjas went after Sophia, one went after Nathan, and the leader went after Jesse.

I was cornered, I had no idea what to do. I may have had my staff, but the ninja was far better than me in martial arts. "Ultima, behind you." I yelled. I pushed the ninja out of my way and ran to Sophia and blocked one of the ninja's blade staff from hitting her. "Thanks, I owe you one." She told me.

"No problem." I replied, kicking one of the ninjas. I knocked the ninja to the ground with my staff and another one came to fight me. "Fallout, where are you?" Sophia yelled. "Fallout!!" I yelled. "AAAAIIIIEEEEE" people started screaming.

"What?" I asked myself. I looked down the railing and saw Jesse on the second level of seats and a crater around him. I dodged one of the ninja's blade staff and kicked him to the ground. One of them fell off the railing and used a grapple gun to come back up. "I'll take that." I said as I took one of the grapple guns.

"You coming." I asked Sophia as I shot the grapple gun to head over to Jesse. "I would rather jump down." She replied. "Come on." I said. She wrapped her arms around me and we flew down to Jesse. "I think you guys might want one of these." I said, handing them each a grapple gun.

"Thanks." Jesse said. "This could really come in handy." Sophia added. We shot the grapple guns up to the catwalks and shot up there. "We will see you again some other time." The lead ninja told  us. "This is not the last time you will see us." Another ninja said.

They threw down a smoke pellet and disappeared. We ran back to the service elevator and found our parents after taking off our suits. "See you guys at school tomorrow." Sophia said. "Actually, you wont see me." I said. "What do you mean?" Jesse asked.

"You know how I'm a amateur supercross rider?" I replied. "Yeah." They said confused. "Well, I am going on a nationwide racing tournament. So I will be gone for at least six months." I said. "What?!" Sophia exclaimed. "I'm sorry, I should have told you earlier." I apologized.

"Don't worry, though, when school ends, you guys can see me at one of the race tracks, you can come with me in the tournament." I added. "Yeah, sure." Jesse said, disappointed. "Guys, don't worry, this is part of my career, I have to do this. If I don't, than Rainbow won't sponsor me anymore." I explained. "Nate, good luck, don't get hurt. Where will be the first track we can see you at?" Jesse asked me. "Um... probably the Mesa supermoto track, that will be the best time to see me, that is saying I get that far in the tournament." I said. "Alright, well good luck, your'e gonna need it." Sophia said. I went home and packed my stuff, ready to go to my first race in Savannah, Georiga.
