Chapter five

Rizumu POV

It's been a week sense I found out that bad news...I've gotten over it but I'm still pretty disappointed. At least I made a new friend last week! His name is lee, and he can't use chakra either!

And today is my first day at the academy! I'm so excited! I'm waiting outside the classroom...

"You may come in now." I hear the teacher call.

I take a deep breath, and open the door. I look around and walk inside. I see my friend and smile at him. The teacher, who's name is unknown, asks me to introduce myself to the class.

"I-I...um. My name is Rizumu, but you can call me Rizu if you want. I-I love to dance, a-and practice Tai-jutsu. I hope we all become g-good friends!" I send the class a small smile.

"Thank you miss Rizumu. Dose anyone have any questions for Rizumu here?" The teacher asks.

One girl's hand goes up, she had two buns on either side of her head and I'll admit, it was pretty cute...

"Yes Tenten?"

"What's your favorite weapon?" The girl. Named tenten asks...ok seriously, who names their child 10 10?

"U-um, I don't h-have much experience w-with weapons. But If I had to c-chose then I'd pick...either s-seabon needles or s-small metal fans."

Another student raised their hand.

"Where did you live before coming to the leaf?"

"I-I lived in a v-village named Danshingu, the village of Dancing."

"Do you know how to dance?" Another student asks.

"I-I'm still learning b-but I can dance a l-little b-bit."

"Can you dance for us?"

"I'm not feeling up to it right now, sorry." I hung my head down a little. (If you get the reference I will love you forever!)

"That's enough questions for today. Why don't you go sit by rock lee, Rizumu?" The teacher says.

I nod happily and practically skip my way to lee's seat. I give him a kind smile and he returns it. I'm really glad I have him as my friend.

"Alrighty class,today we are going over chakra. Can anyone tell the class what chakra is?" The teacher asks.

A girl with bright yellow hair raises her hand. (I had to include a know it all. It's like Sakura 2.0)

"Yes Remon?" (I'll give a shout out to whoever can tell me the English version of this word first.)

"Chakra is essential to even the most basic technique. Through various methods, the most common of which is hand seals, chakra can be controlled and manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire, or creating illusions. Chakra is ordinarily not visible to the unaided eye unless it is highly concentrated or manifested in large amounts. This is rarely seen due to the restrictions of eight specific tenketsu known as the Eight Gates, which limit the amount of chakra an individual can release at a single given time." "Correct! And everyone is born with chakra, but depending on how hard you train, you could have lots of chakra or little to none!" The teacher exclaims.

"Except lee! He was born without chakra, what a freak!" A random kid yells.

"Stop that! There will be no name calling in my classroom, and even if he doesn't have any chakra, that doesn't make him a freak." The teacher scolded.

"Freaky brows, freaky brows!" The class taunted, give or take a few.

I grew angry.

"Freaky brows will never be a ninja! He's just a freak with no chakra!" One lone kid taunted.

I've had enough...

I walked over to the kid who said that and socked him right in the nose.

"Shut up! Just shut up! How dare you say that to him! You have no right to say that he can't be a ninja just because he has no chakra! And he's not a freak, in fact I think your the real freak here! A freak who likes to bully others! Shame on you! SHAME!" I yell and run out of the classroom.

I refused to stay in the same room as those monsters!

Lee POV

She...she stood up for me? I can't believe it. No ones ever done this before. I need to thank her!

I get up and run out the door after her, paying no mind to the teacher yelling for me to come back. I soon found her sobbing underneath a tree on the edge of school grounds.

I sat next to her.

"You didn't have to do that you know, it's ok-"

"NO! ITS NOT OKAY!!!" She yelled

I was shocked, she was usually so shy and quiet...

"Rizu this is normal for me. I can handle this by myself."

"NO you can't!"

"Rizu-"

"Shut it! I don't care if this is normal! Who cares if we don't have chakra! We can still be ninja, YOU can still be a ninja!" She yelled through her tears.

Wait...'we?'

"Y-you...don't have chakra either Rizu?" I ask, eyes wide open.

Her angry expression immediately goes to shocked, and then sadness.

"Y-yes." She says and buries her head in her knees again.

I wrap my arms around her and bring her into a hug, she hugs back soon after.

We stayed like that for a while, just sitting and enjoying each other's company. I really enjoy being around Rizumu. She's like a little sister to me!

The bell for lunch soon rang and she offered me to join her and her mom for lunch. It sounded fun so I joined her.

(Just a small not for you all. If your wondering why lee is acting 'normal'. That is because Gài has not taken lee under his wing and trained him in the way of youth yet. Carry on.)

She took my hand and started to drag me off somewhere.

-Rizumu POV-

I grabbed lee's hand and started pulling him in the direction of my house.

When we reach the front patio I told lee to wait there and walked inside.

"K-Kurenai! I'm ready to go to lunch! B-but is it ok i-if I b-brought a friend!" I yell into the house.

I wait patiently for her reply.

"Sure sweetie! I'll be down in a moment!" She yells back.

I walk back outside and give lee and thumbs up. He gives me an award winning smile and I feel my face heat up.

This is the start of a great friendship. I can just tell.
