Love! When did that happen?

***Adams pov***

My eyes hurt from the sudden amout of light that got into them.

I felt like i was on fire as every freakin' part of body was burning with pain. I tried to move my hand but her hand stopped me. She cooed into my ear, "Shh! Don't move too much Adam, you might hurt yourself." Her voice calmed me down. But where was she? Why couldn't I see her? ( No he hasn't got blind, not yet :P )

"Jennifer? Is that you?" I asked. "It's me Violet. Who's Jennifer?" she said. He sluttered somehow, "No one sweet peas. Who told you about my accident?" Violet totally ignored my question and asked me again in a hyped tone, "Who is Jennifer? Am i supposed to be worried about us?"

I straightened myself up, held her hand and said, "How do I put this? Okay, Violet dear there is no us. What made you think that we had a thing? I know the time is not right and I should've told it to you in a better way but Violet I am in love with someone else. I wanted to tell you but then she asked me not to. I'm sorry. I know you'll forgive me, and we are better off as friends. Don't you agree?" I felt like I was talking to myself because rather than reacting to what I just said she started taking deep breaths. What was she doing?

"Violet! Hey! What's wrong?" I asked her. But again no expression or words escaped her mouth. She stayed shut. Her next move was not what I expected. She started laughing, like really badly, so badly that it almost seemed fake. "You love someone else? Aww, I'm so happy for you. I was just fucking with you Adam. Did you really think that I'd fall for you? C'mon you aren't that gorgeous." So violet was not in love with me. Okay cool then. Now I can make the two meet each other.

"So how did this happen?" Violet asked in a low tone. She seemed depressed, something was bugging her and I had to get it out of her. "Jen was a senior, I met her a year ago and I fell for her the moment I saw her. It wasn't just her looks, but..and Violet cut me off. "I'm not asking about your relationship duffus. I meant the accident, how did it happen?"

"Oh! This! I disconnected your call because Jen was on the other line and she does not likes to wait, I mean which girl does? She invited me over for dinner at her place. I was on phone with her while I was driving and tada! Here i am now. But trust me it wasn't my fault, the stupid truck driver was fuckin' drunk." I explained her what happened. She gave me a warm smile and got up and bid her farewell by saying, "I'm glad you are okay. I'll meet you tomorrow, okay? Lucas needs the car back. I'll have to go. I'm sorry." And just when she was about to get out of the door I asked her to stay, I didn't wanna be alone in the stupid hospital room. "No. Violet, stay! Please." I said.

"Those eyes aren't gonna work this time Scott. It's urgent. Bye." and with that she was out of my sight. She didn't even wait for me to say goodbye. Something was wrong with her, she might be deny it for a while but she'll have to tell me. With her gone I had absolutely nothing to do, so I reached for my phone and texted jen.

'Where are you babe? Aren't you coming to meet me?'

Jen : 'I'm sorry hon! It's almost 9, dad won't let me come. I'll meet ya tomorrow, okay? I love you. Sleep well.'

It was totally my fault. I should've looked at the time before asking her to come meet me. So i texted her that it was fine and that i loved her too. I turned on my 'sleepy time' playlist, hugged my pillow and slept like a baby.

Isn't that always the deal? We humans always fall for the ones we can't have, for certain reasons..either they are already taken or they just don't want us. That's the story of well, a lot of us.
