Snowflakes in Spring

Amidst the darkness of a snowy evening,
There I saw, a snowflake falling.
So elegant, so pure, so breathtaking,
It's like it has its own crown of a king.
Delighted I was by its beauty
Amazed at how it falls free
But despite its beauty, the coldness lives,
In every piece that the cloud gives.
I wonder why of all snowflakes this caught my eye,
When there are other snowflakes falling from the sky.
Just like how you never left my mind,
And stayed in my heart for a little while.
You inspire me to live another day,
To enjoy the moments that pass away,
To feel the presence in your embrace,
And the kisses showered on my face.
But then, the sun approached the horizon,
Clearing up the spring in a split second.
Just like how your love disappeared with no trace,
Leaving me with traitor tears streaming down my face.
