Chapter 5

Today was I had to run more tests with Sam, mom and Dad were busy with a mission

Then suddenly the giant monitor rang, the ID showed Mighty Med computer

"Sam! I'm gonna take a brake to answer that!" I called

"Alright!" She yelled back, I detached the wires and went to the computer and answered, up popped Kaz and Oliver

"Hey guys! What's up?" I asked

"We need your help, you know how it's been a year since Skylar got her power?" Oliver asked

"Yeah," I replied

"Well, if we don't get her powers back to her by midnight she'll die," Kaz spoke

"What?! How can we fix this?" I asked

"We have to go to the Annihilators laid and get her powers back," Oliver explained

"And you need me there to be your backup in case something goes wrong," I spoke

"Kinda yeah," Kaz spoke

"I'll be there right away, see you guys soon," I spoke, ending the call

"You're not going anywhere, not without me," Sam spoke

"Alright then, Raven. Let's get going," I smirked, changing into my superhero outfit

"Actually it's Shifter," Sam corrected as she put on her outfit

"Shifter. I like it," I smiled

"Let's go save your friend," Sam spoke with confidence, and soon we headed to Mighty Med

In no time me and Sam walked into Mighty Med Prison, we had to see Experion to get info on how to get to the Annihilators liar

We both walked to Experion and Megahertz shared prison cell, and saw Kaz and Oliver over there, looks like they just got here

"Move out of the way, boys. I've got this," I spoke as I noticed Experion's sleeping state

I banged on the invisible cell wall, they were changed after Claire and TJ escaped from their cell

"Would you knock it off? I am trying to. . . Oh, it's you," Experion sneered as he saw me

"Nice to see you two," I sneered

"Experion, how's Mighty Max treating you?" Oliver asked

"Oh, great. Let me give you a tour. This is it. I never leave this room," Experion spoke

"We heard Megahertz is your cell mate. Where is he?" Kaz asked

"In solitary confinement. He broke a guards name tag," Experion explained

"That doesn't sound so bad," Oliver shrugged

"Where he comes from 'name tag' means pelvis," I told them with folded arms

"So how's Skylar doing?" Experion asked, changing the subject

"Oh, you mean since you tried to capture her and bring her to the annihilator?" Oliver asked with sarcasm

"Yeah, I feel bad about that. I tried writing her an apology note. But all I could come up with was, 'Dear Skylar,' and a picture of a guy looking over a fence," Experion explained

"It's a go-to doodle," Kaz chuckled, "Hey, you know, if you really wanna make it up to Skylar, you can help us out."

"Look, at midnight tonight, her arms will explode, and by Thursday, she'll die. Our only chance is to get her powers back from the Annihilator. Can you please tell us how to find him?" Oliver spoke

"All right, I'll tell you. But, only to help Skylar. Now the Annihilator keeps her powers in his lair, up on a shelf, like you would a trophy or a vase, or a ceramic elephant--" Experion began

"Get to the point!" I snapped

"Alright, geez. You know the old abandoned slaughterhouse?" Experion asked, Kaz and Oliver looked terrified

"Of course I do, where do you think Nightro use to hide?" I scoffed

"Well it's about four blocks east of that, in a pretty nice part of town," Experion spoke, Kaz and Oliver let out a relived sigh

"Underground, in a dark, scary sewer," Experion continued, making Kaz and Oliver frightened again, I shared a look with Sam, we both shook our heads, "The Annihilator leaves his lair everyday between 2 and 4. He likes to Annihilate after lunch."

"So how do we get in?" Oliver asked

"The only way in is through a system of retina scanners. And the only other person who's authorized to enter is me," Experion spoke

"Great. So there's no way we can get in," Oliver sighed

"Not quite, fork it over," I spoke, looking at Experion, he sighed but started the process of taking out his eye, once he did Kaz and Oliver were mortified

"What? You guys can't grow new eyeballs? Normo's," Experion spoke

"Let's just get going, the sooner we save Skylar the better," I spoke, everyone agreed and we got a move on

We had found the Annihilator's liar and had to go through five retina scans already, we had one more before we could finally get in

I used the eyeball on the last retina scan and the caged bars opened to reveal his lair, and Oliver wouldn't stop saying 'ew'

"Will you stop it? You not even holding it," I told him as I tossed it into the eyeball recycling

"I don't understand how you can hold that," Oliver shuddered

"Trust me, I've done worse," I told him as I dusted my gloves off

"Let's just find her powers and get out of here," Sam spoke

"Look. It's all the superheroes powers the Annihilator has stolen," Oliver spoke as he noticed the shelf

"Yeah. And their weapons. Oh, look! It's absolute zero's freeze ray," Kaz spoke as he picked up the weapon

"Kaz, be careful with that thing," I warned

"I'm always careful--" before he could finish he shot the small fish in the fish bowl and completely froze it

"Kaz!" I scolded

"In my defense, you really shouldn't trust me with weapons," Kaz chuckled, I took the gun out of his hands and set it down

"Here," Sam spoke as she pointed to a jar of powers

"That's Skylar's powers! Let's grab it and go," Oliver spoke as he picked up the jar, but almost dropped it from the weight

"I didn't know superpowers were so heavy," Oliver gasped

"That's nothing compared to mine," I spoke

"Let's just get going, the sooner we leave the better," Kaz spoke, we nodded but stopped in our tracks when we heard footsteps coming our way, along with a loud clank

"Oh no. The Annihilator's coming," Kaz gasped

"You don't know that. Maybe it's just someone picking up the eyeball recycling," Oliver stuttered

"I think your wrong," I told Oliver as the Annihilator was blocking our exit, me and Sam got into fighting stances

"I guess the eyeball recycling comes on Wednesdays," Kaz shrieked
