It was the weekend a few days after my return home. Sam and Mom were out clearing some of Dad's old things from a storage locker he had to maybe learn some more about why he did what he did, and honestly I didn't even wanna be within fifty feet of any of Dad's items

So, as Leo and I were bored we walked into the lab when we saw Adam messing around on one of the control panels. Our eyes immediately widened because who knows what Adam did to mess up the lab

"Hey! Hey!" Leo said as we ran over to him, "What are you doing?"

"You know you're not supposed to be alone around anything with buttons," I scolded him

He stopped pressing the buttons and told us, "I'm pranking Chase for April Fools."Leo and I gave him weird looks

Leo said, "It's November."

"Yeah, exactly. April is when people expect to be pranked, but if I do it today, whamo! It's like a baby with a mustache. You don't see it coming!" Adam told us. I really don't understand where he gets his logic from

"So what's the prank?" Leo asked him because I was very curious on how he was pranking Chase this time

"Oh, I rigged Chase's capsule so when he steps in it, he'll be showered with fifty gallons of expired milk!" Adam laughed, but then said, "Oh, forty-nine gallons. I needed something for my cereal."

Leo and I cringed in disgust before I spoke, "Adam don't do that. If you do Chase will smell disgusting for a week and I really don't like dairy in the first place. It makes me sick."

"What's wrong with dairy? It's delicious!" Adam spoke, Leo and I gave each other a look

"Did you forget?" Leo asked

"Well this is Adam we're talking about here," I mentioned

"Wait, what did I forget?" Adam asked confused, I rolled my eyes

"Adam I'm lactose intolerant."

"What? I thought you were Scarlett?" Adam asked, I sighed

"Adam, it means she can't have dairy," Leo deadpanned

"But you've eaten pizza before?" Adam spoke

"Yeah, I can handle dairy in small portions. Which is why I mix pizza or ice cream with other lactose free foods. Remember the time I got sick and got into the ice cream?" I spoke

"Oh yeah! You ate my pudding!" Adam laughed

"Well, I didn't just get sick from the sugar. It was also the dairy, if I eat to much I get bad indigestion," I explained, Adam gave me a look, "it means I get stomach aches and sometimes even worse."

"What's worse?"

"You don't wanna know."

"Wait, so if you can't have dairy why do we have milk in the house?" Adam asked

"Adam it's lactose free, have you ever wondered why we never have regular milk in the house? And that dairy products are basically limited here because I can't have them?" I asked

"This is Adam we're talking about here," Leo commented, I rolled my eyes

"Anyways, how do you have expired milk?" I asked, diverting away from the subject

"Oh, it doesn't come that way. You have to buy fifty gallons of milk and wait." Adam told me.

Leo and I just had weird expressions on our faces while nodding slowly. When the elevator door opened, Adam leaned against the panel and said to us, "Oh, here he comes! Act cool!"
