Warnings: Fluff (cause why not???)

*This will be written in third person! (Since I have to practice for writing at school. :>)

Jeydon never really celebrated birthdays. He always saw them as any other day. It was all just a reminder that one is a year closer to death. That is not something to celebrate.

Sure, he got to hang out with some of his best friends and get cool presents, but something was always missing. There was always a missing asset that he couldn't lay a finger on. So, he treated his birthday like any other day of the year.

Although, this year was different. He was in a relationship. And not just a hookup or short fling, an actual relationship. They had been together for about four years, but this year seemed the most special.

Jeydon couldn't really figure out why this milestone seemed so important. Was it a sign or true love? Or a sign that said: "your relationship will end on your birthday. Happy birthday, kid!"

That, he would find out on that special day.

*October 1st*

"Guess what day tomorrow is!" Jordan said happily.

"Hump day?" Jeydon replied sarcastically, leaning up against the kitchen counter. He knew where this was going.

"No, silly. Your birthday!" Jordan said enthusiastically. Jeydon rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's overjoyed attitude.

"Why must it be so important to people?" He asked, "I'm just a year closer to death. Should I really celebrate death?"

Jordan pushed Jeydon up on the kitchen counter. Jeydon jumped up and sat down on it. Jordan then stood between Jeydon's legs.

"Don't see it like that," he said, "see it as another year of a good life."

"Don't start with that," Jeydon said, "you told me that yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before that."

"But I just want you to know and change your thinking," Jordan replied, "plus, I don't ever wanna see you depressed. That thought scares me."

"Don't worry about me," Jeydon assured his Yoshi loving boyfriend, "I won't get that low in life." He wrapped his arms around Jordan's neck. Jordan pressed his lips against Jeydon's, leading the two into a deep, passionate kiss.

"Don't tell me  you want an early birthday present ~" Jordan whispered once he and Jeydon have pulled away from each other. "Uh, I, uh..." Jeydon froze as he felt heat rise to his face. How could he reply to a question like that? It was all so...weird.

"I-I kind of d-do," he said quietly, feeling very flustered. He finally got the words out. Even though it was very embarrassing.

"Okay," Jordan replied before connecting his lips to his smaller (smol-ler) boyfriend's lips. Jeydon cautiously wrapped his legs around Jordan's waist. The rest of the night soon became a blur as soon as he was lifted from that countertop and carried into his and Jordan's shared bedroom.

*The Next Morning*

Jeydon awoke with his head on Jordan's chest. He felt a little sore due to last night being his first time. There was still a small bit of exhaustion, too.

He couldn't believe if last night was real or not. Sure, he was sore but that didn't really say anything. Curiosity and wonder soon got the best of him.
