Fate put me in a wooden box

Crawled up in my bed was just a boy
Needing family's arms to hold.---
The most beautiful part in our lives is--waking up and meeting the big, radiant sun above us. This portrays, Despite the negativity of life gives us, At least we made it to the sunrise. We made it to tomorrow and so do other people.
But unfortunately, in the road of darkness that is more dazzling than light, one citizen of Canon City--Grant Fernandez didn't met the sunrise of tomorrow.
The death of Uncle Grant made the police officers and detectives busy by all means. Busy from gathering informations, finding the killer and knowing If Canon city is not peaceful as we think it is.
Now, Jennie and I are sitting uncomfortably on a mahogany-colored wooden chair with a two police officer sitting right before us- separating us only from a small and thin oak table. We are being interviewed by the young officers like what they said when they called us last night. These two look like freshmen in their field, at least now I know, I have zero percent for entrusting them the unsolved murder of my uncle.
I can already see: It's a god-awful day.
"So, you are saying he's already dead when you came into his room?" One of the police officer who is sitting in front of me but facing Jennie, clarified what has Jennie told us a moment ago.
"Am I speaking Chinese right now? As I said, when I want to ask my uncle some questions about this weirdo sitting next to me. I went inside his room. But while I was in the middle of asking, I noticed how silent he was since I got there and then find him no longer breathing." Face of a stressed-as-fuck is what Jennie is making right now. I don't know if the cause of her stress is because of the fact that Uncle Grant is dead and obviously she's the prime suspect of the police or is it because of the brainless and lousy as hell or whatever you call it police officers are really pissing her off. Because for me, It's the latter.
"Can you prove your statement?" The other police officer who is sitting in front of Jennie said. His voice is husky, coppery, grown-up sounding. It's a voice that knows stuff, that doesn't have time for fools. Now the tables have turned.
I start to feel a knot of tension. I glanced at her reaction. She is struggling and can't argue with that.
"I was upstairs that night, of course there's no alibi. Only Uncle Grant was with her. What do you want? Ask the dead?" I feed them my words as I emphasize every one of them.
"Answer my question, miss." He said again, now he accentuates every word that came out of his mouth, ignoring my question.
It took minutes to finally utter Jennie's answer. "No." She shook her head, just a small motion.
The two police officers stared at each other and sighed. "We are going to let this loose-"
"Really?" Surprisingly, Jennie's word cut off the officer's saying.
"Because we didn't find any of your fingerprints and an evidence. This is all circumstantial. We need a solid proof." The other police officer that is sitting right in front of me said. This two isn't bad at all.
"But we'll still keep an eye on you two." He added and stared sharply into our eyes. We didn't respond or move any gestures for thanking them. I just stare them blankly and so did Jennie.
