It was a beautiful day in world of Fìrrin, but as you take a closer look you can see that a young lady is being robbed by a gang of thieves. On a dirt road that is surrounded by towering trees we see a young lady trying to deliver her merchandise to a near by village. As the young lady is going down the road eight theives jump out and surrounded her wagon armed with swords and knives.
"Hey little lady why don't you just hand over your all your stuff so we don't have to get rough." Said one of the thevies as he grinned devilishly.
"But if I don't get this to the market I won't be able to buy food." Pleaded the girl
"Just shut up and give us your stuff I don't want to her your whining." Snarled the leader of the theives as he began to walk towards her.
"No! I need these goods and I won't let you take them." The girl yelled in defiance. All of a sudden a acorn came flying out of nowhere and hit one of the theives in the head. The theif turn his head to see a boy sitting under a tree holding an acorn.
"Hey just leave her alone, all your blabbering is starting to get annoying." The boy said.
"Oh ya so what are you going to do about throw another acorn at me?" The theif jested.
"No that was just to get your attention this is what I will do to you." He says as he points to a bunch of men hanging by their neck in the tree.
"What the hell are you insane!?" Screamed the bandit.
"Yes so I would run if I were you." The boy says as the bandits run.
"Where did those bodies come from I could of sworn they weren't there before." The girl said tilting her head in confusion.
" I guess they were scared of possums." The boy said as the bodies dissolved to show that they were all possums.
"What but how is that possible?" The girl asks.
"Well you see there are some people in Fìrrin that possess special power and abilities these people are call Seekers. Seekers gain their power by well seeking it out, they venture to near or distant places. The Seeker can find his or her power in various ways whether it is by trials, a tragic event that leads drives them to become stronger, and there are plenty more ways. Anyways my name's Connor and I'm a seeker who can create illusions so what's your name?" Connor explains.
"Oh - um my name is Rose I'm just a traveling merchant. So uh... I don't want to be rude but why did you save me?" Rose asks.
"Well it's because I'm tired of seeing people getting hurt." Connor said.
"Oh- well thank you for helping me... honestly if it wasn't for you I would of probably been robbed and killed or worse. Is there anything I can do to repay you?" Rose asked.
"Anything? Well there is one thing that I can think of-" Connor said.
" and what would that be?" Rose asked a little worried about what he could ask for.
"How about letting me hitch a ride on that cart of yours and once we get to a town and you sell some stuff how about me and you grab a bite to eat and you will have to pay cause I'm broke." Connor said as he showed his empty pockets and his stomach growling a few seconds later.
"Oh is that all sure I can." The girl said happily as he hopped onto the cart sitting next to her. The cart was pulled by two strong horses one being a beautiful white and the other being a more ominous black. The cart would bump up and down on the dirt road.
"So Rose how old are you?" Connor asked.
"Oh me, I'm just 16 how about you?" Rose asked.
"I'm 17 and yes I am actually very young for a seeker." Connor said.
"Really that's amazing." Rose asked. They road in silence until they came to a small lonely looking town. The villagers waved happily at them as they road by.
"This seems to be nice little village." Connor said looking at a pair of young children playing in the street.
"Well you would be right about that I've been here before and all the villagers are really nice." Rose said with a big bright smile. Soon enough they had reached the village tavern.
"Welp it looks like we finally made it now let's get some grub." Connor said with a big goofy grin which caused Rose to giggle as they entered. The tavern was small but it was filled with people laughing and smiling.
"So what can I get for the young couple?" The bartender said as they approached the bar. A huge blush creep across both of their faces as they were being mistaken for a couple.
"W-what were not d-dating." Connor said as he stumbled with his words.
"Y-ya I hardly k-know him we j-just met." Rose said as she was having the same problem as Connor.
"Oh I see well anyways what do you two want." The bartender said chuckling at their embarrassment.
"Oh uh, I don't really know what you guys serve so just surprise me with your speciality." Connor said with a grin.
"Well in that case I think I'll be adventurous too and get the same thing." Rose said.
"Ok two mystery specialties." The bartender called back to the chef.
"I just hope it's nothing disgusting." Rose said sounding a little worried.
"Hey that's the fun part about this, you never know what your getting it could be something amazing or something disgusting." Connor said laughing.
"You're not helping." Rose said glaring at him.
"Sorry but hey I think it's about to come out." Connor said as the bartender came out with what seemed to be ribs. The bartender set the two plates infront of them and the delicious smell of them washed over them.
"Looks like we got lucky" Rose said before they started to dig in. After they ate Connor rented them both two rooms for the night.
