**Harry's POV**
My head was pounding as I struggled to open my eyes which were suddenly one hundred times heavier. My chest felt like a weight was pressing down on it which increased with every struggled breath.
All I saw was white when I finally pried my eyes open. It took a few seconds for them to adjust to the light. My entire body ached as I sat up and I couldn't help but let out a low groan at the pain in my chest. As I looked around the unfamiliar room, I thought to myself, how the hell am I alive? I honestly thought I was a goner back there.
I slowly raised my hand to my chest and realised I wasn't wearing a shirt. A thick bandage was wrapped around my middle and left shoulder, concealing the area the bullet had pierced. My body suddenly erupted in panic when I didn't see the person I hoped to see sitting next to me. Kiera. Where's Kiera?
I jumped straight off the bed and hobbled over the the door, ignoring the searing pain that rushed through my body. I yanked the door open and started to walk down the small hallway, halting my traces when the very person I was searching for turned the corner.
She looked utterly shocked but then relieved as she rushed up to me and I immediately took her in my arms, holding her close. Her arms were locked around my neck too lightly and I wanted her to hold me tighter. I needed to make sure this was real.
"I'm so happy you're okay." She whispered, nuzzling her face in my neck.
"Same to you." I breathed, my cheek pressed to her damp hair. She smelled fresh out of the shower, which reminded me how much I needed one.
A small cough that didn't come from either of us is what separated us. My eyes flew to the source and I immediately recognised the woman standing there with judging eyes as the water jumper who tried to kill me back in Phoenix.
"Hey...Beth, right?" I greeted, awkwardly after a long, uncomfortable silence.
She scoffs. "Well at least one of you knows my name."
"Hey, I know your name! I just mix it up with others, that's all..." Kiera pouts. I couldn't help but smile at how cute she looks.
"With all your other friend's names which begin with 'B'? Sure." Beth smirks. "So, how you feeling? Gave this little hellion a big scare you did. We didn't think you'd pull through."
In all honesty, I felt like I couldn't stand upright with the pain that was pulsing through my body, especially my chest. But of course, my pride overpowered the truth.
"Fine." I shrugged. Kiera rolled her eyes and I pretended I didn't see it.
"Alright. Well, I suggest you get some rest, you took a pretty hard blow." Beth says in a more ordering tone than suggestive.
"Could I have a shower first?"
"Please." Beth emphasised with a raise of her eyebrows. "Down the hall, second door on the left. Me and Grace will be downstairs if you need us." She says before walking down the hallway then round a corner.
"I'm surprised she didn't jump away." I spoke my thoughts.
"She hates getting wet patches on her carpet." Kiera shrugged. "Now cut down that ego a little and tell me how you're really feeling."
"Like I can't stand properly" I gave in, resting my back on the wall behind me and closing my eyes. Kiera sighs heavily and leans on the wall opposite me. I lazily open one eye to look down at her. "How long was I out?"
"Couple of days. Since I can't jump you straight into the hideout, the only place I could think of was here. The girls helped me patch you up before throwing their lectures at me. I'm just glad they still have some positive feelings towards me." She frowns. "Why was I such a bitch to them before...?" She mutters under her breath, but I heard.
