Jesus Christ, how long has it been since I updated???

I'm really sorry for taking god knows how many months to update guys - I had completely cut myself off from writing because it was the time for my A-level exams and I was mega stressed :/ a lot was happening at school, home and I'm juggling a job along with everything else so I just couldn't find the time >.< sorry!

But I'm here now, all my AS's are done and so is most of my coursework so now I have more time to write! ^.^

This chapter might be a little confusing since I've been writing small sections of this whenever I could for the past week, but hopefully it should make sense :) if it's a little short, I sincerely apologise, the next chapter will definitely be a long one, I promise!

So aside from that, did anyone miss me? Cuz I sure did! <(^.^)>

**Kiera's POV**

As soon as we landed, Harry took the time to admire the large mansion before us. It was four stories tall with balconies and colourful windows. The bricks were old and grey, slowly breaking apart throughout the many years it had been standing. The building was all too familiar to me, apart from the few repairs that had been made since its last attack.

"Harry, wait a sec." I stopped him as he advanced towards the entrance. He turned his body to face me with a questioning look on his face and I pursed my lips, a large wave of nervousness washing through me. I'm slowly beginning to get used to the presence of these emotions, nervousness being one of the most felt. I wish I knew why. "Cody's pretty protective. Not just over me but over all the jumpers he's taken in. He might ask a lot of questions; if he does, answer them honestly alright? Try not to hesitate either. Just...whatever you do, don't do anything to upset him, okay? Just try to get along with him and- you know what, don't bother making eye contact with him, stay out of his way- especially when he's in his office-"

"Kiera! Relax." Harry interrupted, his cool palms suddenly cradling my hot cheeks.

I took a few deep breaths and nodded. I was getting myself worked up over nothing. I hate it when this happens. "Sorry." I sighed when my breathing returned to normal.

Harry breathed out as a sign of amusement. "You're acting as if I'm about to meet your father or something."

Memories of my parents suddenly flashed through my eyes and I quickly looked away. Harry's hands suddenly left my cheeks and went to his hair.

"Oh God. Kiera, I'm sorry I didn't mean-"

"It's fine." I insisted, my hand raised to stop him from talking. "Let's just...come on." I sighed when I found the right words. "Oh, I almost forgot." How on earth could I forget?

"What?"

"You might wanna stay behind me. At all times. The jumpers in there don't really like me and they might try to kill you."

"What!?"

I didn't answer him as I typed in the pass code and pushed open the large, double doors. As we stepped inside, memories of this place filled my mind and I gratefully accepted them. Most memories of this place were rather pleasant, despite a few banters with the other jumpers and of course, the day Tyler was taken away from me. As hard as I tried to push memories of him aside, they just kept pushing through to the front of my head. Was he really dead? I didn't know the answer, but with what happened at the end of his message, it seems likely.

"Good." Is what I should be saying. But I just can't bring myself to say it. The hole in my chest just seems to get wider and wider every time I think about him.
