**3rd person POV**

Harry cuddled the blanket closer to his shivering body, gazing into the orange flames lit in the fireplace. He had regained most of the colour in his skin back but he was still a deathly pale, his once cherry red lips now a shade of blue mixed with purple. A handprint, the same colour as his lips had bruised on his neck, flecks of frost still lingering. His emerald eyes had taken a pretty bad effect and now had flecks of pale blue around the edges.

If Skyler had appeared a second later, his entire body would have been frozen and deprived of life. And for that, she felt guilty, but had yet to acknowledge the feeling.

Seeing Tyler had triggered something inside her. She knew her emotions were slowly begging to fade back into her system, but after what happened over an hour ago caused them to suddenly crash down on her at once.

She didn't know how to deal with it. Having all of them crash down on her like that was overwhelming. Her mind was a mess of scattered memories, feelings of pain coursing through her body every time she remembers something bad she did.

She sat on the second sofa as far away from Harry as possible, her once dull electric eyes now bright and vibrant, filled with emotion as the flames reflected on them. She sat with her ankle resting on her knee and her fist to her lips as her elbow rested on the arm of the sofa.

Harry's green and blue eyes gazed over at her, his teeth chattering. She knew he was looking at her, expecting her to speak but she couldn't. She knew if she looked at him, that horrible feeling would come back. That hole in her chest would grow even bigger just at the sight of his shuddering body as he desperately tried to get warm.

"W-why didn't you t-tell me?" Harry dithered, wincing at the pain in his chest and throat that rose just from speaking.

Skyler kept her gaze on the flames, trying her best not to even glance at him at the corner of her eye. Just hearing his voice which shuddered along with his body made that feeling press down on her chest even more than it already was. "Must've slipped my mind." She muttered, trying hard to keep her voice monotoned.

"Slipped your m-mind?" Harry scoffed. "I'm pretty s-sure this is t-too big of a subject to j-just 'slip your mind'." He said, his voice jolting along with his body.

"I'm pretty sure I'm capable enough to deal with this myself, thank you." She said, obviously speaking otherwise.

"You still s-should've told me, Skyler." Harry breathed, curling into himself even more if possible.

"It's none of your business, okay?" She snapped, trying her hardest not to look at him.

Harry sighed and played with his still blue fingertips. He brought them up to his purple lips and shakily blew warm air into them, trying to warm them up. "W-what he said w-wasn't true...was it?" He asked, looking up at her.

"What did he say?" She asked, her voice uninterested.

"H-he said Jack's wife committed suicide because of his death...and some other stuff..." He said, leaving out the part when Tyler mentioned Skyler's hate for him.

Skyler scoffed, a small feeling of amusement entering her system which she welcomed. "Jack doesn't have a wife. Or a family at that. Tyler's always been one to tell lies." She says in a low voice laced with anger.

Harry licked his dry lips to try and help with his speech. "S-so...you and Tyler g-go way back, huh?"

"I really don't think this is the best subject right now."
