Meanwhile at Hugo's palace, he and his family had just finished breakfast, and now they were ready to start their day.

"So are we ready to start the day?" King Garrick asked.

"Ready!" his wife and sons beamed.

"What'll it be?" Queen Samira asked.

"We could go for a hike," Hugo suggested.

"Or stroll through town," Axel chimed in.

Suddenly, there was beeping sound. Hugo's wrist was lighting up blue, much to his family's confusion.

"What's that sound?" Garrick asked.

"And why is your wrist lighting up, Hugo?" Samira asked.

Hugo lifted his sleeve, revealing his Enchantlet. Just like Sofia, he himself is a Protector of the Ever Realm. Their Enchantlets alert them if there is ever danger. "That's my Enchantlet," he realized. "It goes off whenever there's danger in the Ever Realm or the Mystic Isles. I'd better contact Sofia."

Hugo flicked his wrist and was able to communicate with Sofia, who had just woken up. "Good morning, Sofia," he said. "Did I wake you?"

"No, but my Enchantlet did—it went lighting up," Sofia declared.

"Mine too," Hugo said. He looked at Sofia's chest and saw that she wasn't wearing her amulet. "I think I know what's going on, Sofia. Something is missing." He didn't know how to actually tell her, so he pointed to his chest to remind Sofia where to look.

Sofia looked down at her chest and saw that her amulet wasn't there. "My amulet!" she gasped. "But I didn't take it off."

"Sofia, I think Hildegard must've taken it," Amber gulped.

Sofia turned and saw that Hildegard's bed was empty. This sight made her deduce that Hildegard had taken her amulet. "I should've known!" she growled.

"Again?" Hugo groaned. "If Hildegard stole your amulet and our Enchantlets reminded us that there's trouble in the Ever Realm, there's a chance the Amulet put a curse on her—and not a very good one at that."

"How bad would the curse be?" Axel asked.

"If Amber could get the Amulet to put a curse on her that can put a kingdom in danger, Hildegard must've put gotten it to put a curse on her bad enough to harm at least part of the Ever Realm," Hugo frowned.

"We'll find Hildegard and stop her before she leaves Enchancia," Sofia said.

"And we'll be there as fast as we can," Hugo said.

Once Sofia finished communicating with Hugo, she and Amber put on their clothes. "We have to find Hildy," she said hastily. "There's no knowing what foe we have to face this time."

"Okay," Amber agreed. "We'll send Mom, Dad, and James to find her, too."

"Okay," Sofia agreed.

The sisters went down the elevator, and once it stopped, they stepped out and found their brother and parents.

"Mother! Daddy! We have a problem!" Amber announced.

"There's a chance that Hildegard took my amulet when I was sleeping," Sofia revealed. "My Enchantlet alerted me that there's trouble, so there's a chance the Amulet put a curse on Hildegard!"

"Hildegard stole your amulet again?" James groaned. He remembered when Hildegard stole the Amulet from Sofia shortly after the events in Avalor, and he hoped Hildegard didn't do anything drastic with it this time.

"We have to find her," Sofia said.

"Don't worry, honey," Miranda said.

The whole family went searching for Hildegard. Sofia was looking for that princess more hastily than her family—she needed to find Hildegard and get her amulet back, stat.
