Is Being Honest Always the Best Idea?

       Hailey pulled away from the hug a bit making Jay lean in. Before Hailey had time to react, her phone rang. Hailey moved away from him and picked up her phone.
  Jay took Hailey's phone out of her hand and threw it on the couch. Hailey was going to yell at him, but her lips were met by Jay's.
  Hailey didn't know what came over her, but something in her told her to kiss back. She kissed him back, making Jay smile. Before Hailey had time to think straight, Molly jumped in.
"Jay wILL YOU KNOCK IT OFF?!?" Molly yelled pulling him off of Hailey.
     "MOLLY SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL I CAN'T HELP IT!" Jay yelled and Hailey took her phone and ran upstairs.
"IT DOESNT MATTER! SHE'S NOT SINGLE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! AND YOU JUST MADE HER KISS YOU! CAN YOU EVEN THINK OF WHAT'S GOING THROUGH HER HEAD RIGHT NOW!???" Molly yelled downstairs at her brother.
"WHAT SHE CHEATED ON MICHAEL- oh... she cheated on Michael..." Jay said softly realizing what he made Hailey do just then.
"YEAH STUPID NICE JOB!!!" Molly yelled and ran upstairs to check on Hailey.
Hailey locked her room door and started to cry. She didn't mean to cheat on Michael, she had no idea what came over her just then. She had to tell Michael, but she couldn't find the courage in her to do so.
Hailey picked up her phone, as her hands were shaking. She unlocked her phone, and looked at who called her it was Michael. She then saw he left her a message.
She pressed play and listened to the voicemail and she couldn't help but smile.
"Hey babe! First, I'm sorry about being a jerk earlier... I was jealous okay? I'll admit it, but I want you to move in with meeee! Anyways... I just got done at Hollywood Records! I can't believe I'm a rapper in a boy band, isn't that crazy?!?! Anyways I love you and I miss you! Please call me back I got some good news. I love you angel"  the voicemail ended and Hailey shook her head upset at herself.
Hailey sniffled and wiped her tears. Michael is so good to her, and all she did was cheat on him with his best friend. Would he understand? Probably not, he'll break up with her.
      All these thoughts consumed Hailey. He's going to break up with her. He's going to hate Jay. Him and Jay won't be friends anymore. Not only will a relationship be broken up, but so will a friendship, all because of her.
      Horrible thoughts swarmed around in Hailey's head. The more thoughts, the more tears poured out of her eyes. Hailey cried harder and screamed in anger.
      "HAILEY!" Molly yelled from outside the door, making Hailey release a shaky breath.
      "Y-yeah?" Hailey stuttered out softly, but loud enough for Molly to hear.
      "Can I come in?" Molly asked, and Hailey unlocked the door and opened it for the younger Gilbert.
       Molly saw how fragile Hailey was, and pulled her into a tight hug. Hailey cried into Molly's shoulder, as she rubbed Hailey's back to sooth her.
      "Shhh, it'll be okay Hailey... I promise you" Molly tried to reassure Hailey, but it wasn't working.
      "It's nOT GOING TO BE OKAY!!!" Hailey yelled as she pulled away from the younger girl. "I CHEATED ON MY BOYFRIEND WITH HIS BEST FRIEND! I'M NOT ONLY RUINING MY RELATIONSHIP I'M RUNING JICHAEL'S FRIENDSHIP!" Hailey yelled and Molly sighed.
      "Hailey... listen to me. I'm sure if you tell Michael, he'll be hurt that's for sure. But he'll get over it, he loves you. He'll be pissed at Jay, 100% but he'll get over that too, okay? Try not to stress out so much" Molly said softly towards the older girl.
      "I-I can't f-find the courage in me t-to do so Molly... I failed Michael" Hailey said as more tears ran down her face.
      The door revealed another person standing there. Hailey looked up, and immediately got angry.
       "Get the hell out! I don't want to see you!" Hailey said through her teeth at the boy.
       "Hailey I-" Jay started but only angered Hailey more.
      "Jay... I don't want to hear it!" Hailey said angrily, not in the mood to talk to him.
      "I-I just-" Hailey lashed out before Jay could say another word.
      "DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND I DON'T WANT TO-" before Hailey could yell anymore, Molly slammed the door on Jay's face. Molly locked the door as Hailey looked down in shame.
     "Hey, it's okay to be angry at him. I would be too if I were you" Molly said and Hailey sniffled.
     "You're the best Molly and you're so wise" Hailey said and hugged her tightly.
      "You don't deserve this, and my brother is so desperate. God I can't stand him right now!" Molly said, getting aggravated at her own brother.
      "D-don't hate him over this, okay? I'm- uh- I'm uh... gonna call Michael okay?" Hailey asked and Molly smiled.
      "I hope everything goes well, if not I'm just around the corner. But for now, I'm going to talk some sense into my brother" Molly said and Hailey sniffled once again.
     "Molly?" Hailey asked, making the girl look at her. "T-thank you" Hailey said wiping her tears away.
      "Anytime Hails, I'm always here for you" Molly said and walked out of the room.
       Hailey took a shaky breath, and picked up the phone and dialed Michael's number. She decided it would be easier to say it over FaceTime.
      Michael answered the FaceTime and smiled happily.
      "BABY GIRL!! Hi! I've missed you so- why are you crying?" Michael asked, noticing her broken state. But that only made Hailey cry harder.
       "M-M-Michael... I-I-" Hailey stuttered out, making Michael's heart pound nervously.
      "Babe... talk to me, please! You're worrying me!" Michael pleased nervously towards his girlfriend.
       "Okay so Jaykissedmeandikissedbackandifeel... horrible..." Hailey rambled, and Michael rose an eyebrow.
     "Wait why do you feel horrible????" Michael asked, not understanding her sentence. Hailey let out a long breath.
      "O-okay so... J-J-Jay kissed me..." Hailey said, already angering Michael.
      "AGAIN?!" Michael yelled and Hailey nodded and continued.
      "Y-y-y-yeah again... but i-it gets worse..." Hailey said, tears falling from her eyes again.
       Michael didn't even have to know what she said next, he already knew.
      "You kissed back didn't you? I knew this would happen. I leave on tour for a few months and you couldn't help but move in with my best friend! Cuddle with him at night instead of me! OH AND NOW YOU KISSED HIM BACK! HAILEY I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!!! WHY DID I EVEN TRUST YOU THIS WHOLE TIME?!?" Michael yelled at her, making the girl cry harder.
      "M-M-Michael m-m-my mind wasn't on-" Hailey tried to speak out, only for Michael to dismiss her sentence.
      "I don't want a stupid excuse. You kissed him back because you wanted to. Goodbye Hailey" Michael said as he ended the FaceTime.
       Hailey threw her phone and broke down. She screwed up big time, and she wasn't sure she would fix it.
